Love on the Other Side

Armene’s version:  The first time I met Nick, I was hooked.  Everyone knew I had a crush on this gorgeous English fellow.  I was attending my chiropractic stress test booth at the Saturday farm and craft market that Nelson is famous for, and a tall man with a great accent stopped by with his buddy.  He was wearing those funny bike shoes and I tagged him as a traveler who was just passing thru, but he was so cute.  Much to my surprise, he showed up in my office 3 days later.  And he just kept showing up, to get adjusted, at our office party, at the market.  I adjusted him for a few weeks and then transferred him to another chiropractor.  Becca was visiting me at the time and listening to me talk about him ALL THE TIME.  She made me promise to make a move the day she left.  It was also the day before Nick was heading off for a 10 day silent meditation retreat.  I took him for a walk on the beach and the first thing he said was I am thinking about going to chiropractic school.  My immediate reaction was its all off, I am not going thru that again.  After our walk, he invited me to dinner and we talked until they turned off the lights.  Then he walked me to my car and gave me a hug.  I couldn’t let go and suddenly we were kissing.  He left the next morning, heading into silence.  Both of us spent the next 10 days thinking of each other. And then and then and then..
