I believe that I may be one of the only people awake at 8:30 a.m. on New Year's Day. So I'm curious, now that NYE is over, what will YOU be doing on New Year's Day?

Recovering

I can’t say much about my NYE. It certainly wasn’t headache-inducing, and yet, I woke up with a headache. I’ll be recovering from a migraine, but I have a feeling others might be dealing with a hangover.

Still have some of those Christmas gift cards? Why not use them?!

Wait…are malls even open on New Year’s Day?

Resolutions

You could work on that list of resolutions.

My only resolution for 2009 is to not suck. I never follow through with “go to the gym more” or “eat healthier.” Why set myself up for disappointment?

Watch the Rose Bowl!

I’m not nearly as devoted as most SC fans, but I will most certainly be spending this afternoon with a beer and some pizza (proven to cure NYE hangovers) and the Trojans. Fight on!

Party isn't over yet?

Who isn’t partied-out yet?

Every year my aunt and uncle have a New Year’s Day lunch. It’s not a crazy and wild party, but there’s good food and hung over family members provide interesting blog fodder.

Now this is convenient not only for those who found themselves in front of a close and locked mall door. It’s also convenient for those who are bed-ridden or too lazy to move today.

Now that I moved my exercycle out of a cramped corner on the first floor, to roomier area in the basement….I hope to use it regularly. (And I don’t mean for a clothes rack)
And I actually rode it for 10 minutes before going to a New Year’s Day afternoon party!

I never left the house!

I unpacked (just moved from Brooklyn to Manhattan), I baked cookies, I took a bubble bath and finally finished Little Women in said bubble bath. And I never left the house! Cookies for dinner is totally allowed in my house. Plus, it was in the low double digits….

I got $11.07 worth of food from the McDonalds Dollar Menu.

I was buying for two people.  But. Yeah.  Feeling a little gross about that.

(What can I say.  McDonalds food seems to help my hangovers!)

Usually on New Years Day I end up laying on the couch because I have a little self control issue with bars on New Year’s Eve. If Wisconsin is playing, I’m watching college football and dreaming about a nice big cheeseburger. Oh how I wish someone delivered hangover food right now.
