This is a guide to my favorite 5 toy stores in Denver. These are places where my son can spend hours exploring, where I can even find toys that were not made in China, and where anyone can find cool toys for the office to keep those hands occupied in long meetings.

Timbuk Toys-Uhills

I like this, because it is small but has lots of educational toys. These make great birthday gifts. A Thomas track is set up in the store for playing. Get a frequent purchase card!

Kazoo & Company

2930 E 2nd Ave, Denver, CO 80206

Two stories of fun, but still not too overwhelming. I like the European toys in this store. The gift-wrapping is spectacular! Lots of great books and office type toys.

Wizard's Chest the

230 Fillmore St, Denver, CO 80206

Hands down my absolute favorite toy store. Great costumes, gift, toys and funky wigs. Kids love this store and can spend hours there. It is a favorite spot for most locals around Halloween.

Build-A-Bear Workshop

3000 E 1st Ave, Denver, CO 80206

Yes, it’s a chain, but kids like it. This one is in the Cherry Creek Mall. I like the fact that some dollars go to the World Wildlife Fund.

Disney Store the

14200 E Alameda Ave, Aurora, CO 80012

Ok, ok, it’s Disney, but there are good sales here. Of course, there is way, way, way too much packaging, but what child does not like the Disney characters?
