My favorite places to eat in Covington LA

Share on StumbleUpon Add to del.icio.us Share on Facebook

Here is a starter list of my favorite places to eat in my hometown of Covington, LA. Although Covington is about an hour north of New Orleans, we still maintain that diverse culture that makes New Orleans unique, and cuisine is no exception. There are many more than I have listed here, so be sure to check back often as I will add them as I find the time.

Semolina

Covington, LA 70433

Founded by the same chef duo that brought us Zia’s, this restaurant was created, sold, and then bought back again because they weren’t satisfied with where things were headed, I’ve been told. New location is on Hwy 21 near Wow Wingery.

Sake Gardens Japanese Restaurant

Mandeville, LA 70448

This location is actually in Mandeville off Hwy 22. While the Northshore is not really a great Sushi destination, this place can hang with some of the best that I have visited (including several great sushi places in Toronto!).

Bear's Restaurant

Covington, LA 70433

Best PoBoys on the Northshore! Their Roast Beef PoBoy is the best, and rates about a 7 on the napkin scale.

Etoile Restaurant

Pizza Man Of Covington Inc

Covington, LA 70433

Best Pizza in Covington, and great atmosphere for the kids. Also, ice cold Abitia Amber on tap. Doesnt get any better than that.
