My Favorite Getaway........St. Johns (US Virgin Islands)
I've been very fortunate in my life to travel across the globe at a young age. My favorite destination is still St. Johns. There are great deals that are offered at the Westin Resort if you go before there busy season- which starts November 1. The last time we were there we stayed for 9 nights and 10 days in one of their suites for under $2000 including air fare (for two people).Unfortunately are bar and food tab was triple that amount (that's what vacations are all about...right?). The food is very expensive (ex..cheapest breakfast I had was $37 for eggs, pancakes, coffee and juice) at the resort but you can save money by going to the local grocery store to buy your food and beer (too much work and hassle for me...)
Dining is okay at St. Johns. Some will travel by ferry to St. Thomas for better Carribean style food.
Favorite Dining- La Tapa
If you’re a seafood lover like myself, then La Tapa is the place for you. The last time I went I ordered a tuna dish that was topped off with a Carribean style sauce. When the waitress asked us for a desert menu, I said no thanks but I would love another tuna dish to take for a midnight snack. Great food and great reviews. Just like any resort, pricy but well worth it. La Tapa does not have a website but is located in downtown Cruz Bay.

As mentioned earlier we stayed at the Westin Resort in Cruz Bay. Most people however, rent houses, condos or villas when staying at St. Johns.
From what I was told by our Captain, this is where some of the Corona commercials were filmed. Great parties all the time!
This is my families favorite snorkeling and diving destination in the world. Lots of marine life! Fairly short boat trip from St. Johns.

Other Restaurant Reviews
Here are my reviews
Skinny Legs Legendary burgers with a friendly atmosphere (website http://www.skinnylegs.com/)
Cafe Roma- My wife liked this Italian restaurant a lot but I thought it was okay. Go by my wifes review because she’s Italian and I’m not (website http://www.digitaldudes.com/9caferoma1.htm)
ZoZo’s- I loved this Italian restaurant but my wife said it was okay(go figure!). We did however agree that the dining experience was right for us. (website http://www.zozos.net/)
Sun Dog Cafe- Good deli sandwiches that is located in the middle of Mongoose Junction in Cruz Bay. No website
The Beach Bar- No website that I can find. This was the only restaurant that I was told to stay away from! Totally disagree!! Both my wife and myself enjoyed the seating along the beach and the food was not that bad. They could atleast make a drink that tasted good and potent (most important!).
