You know when you're talking about a super-popular movie with a group of people, and there's always that one person who says, "Oh, I've never seen that"? Well, friends, that person is me. If people would stay quiet and off their cell phones in movie theaters I'd probably go more, but even so -- my attention span for sitting in front of a television screen for two hours straight (even in my own home!) is nil. Zip. Zilch.
A movie has to be really special for me to sit through it. So, let's have it: what movies pull you in, keep you stuck in your seat, and are so good you don't even want to blink? I want to know. I need to know!
Anchorman
I’m so simple—I know this. But this movie is hilarious and I could watch it every day. The best part? The outtakes and special features at the very end of the DVD.
The Patriot
This movie made me cry (which, really, is not that difficult) and the cinematography was just stunning.
ALMOST FAMOUS
My favorite quote:
“The only true currency we have in this bankrupt world is what we share with another person when we are uncool”
I loved everything about this movie: the acting, the music, the story, Reese’s clothes (I know, I know…)
Miracle
I never liked Kurt Russell until I saw him in this great, great movie. And with four players representing from Boston Univeristy, of course I loved it!
I’m not really one to choose a serious-looking movie with subtitles (I’m a horrible movie watcher and tend to daze out), but this was seriously one of the best, most emotional movies I’ve ever seen. And after a few minutes, I didn’t even realize I was reading subtitles.
When we walked out of the theater, pretty much everyone was crying and barely anyone was talking. All we could say was “Wow.” So good.
