Well, here is the cure. The historic Trocadero Theater in Philadelphia has a movie night, every Monday, with hit and cult movies. I've found this to be a surefire way to cure my Monday night blues. $3 bucks gets you in, and a beer or a snack (who can say no to that?). You also get a raffle ticket for some sweet prizes (DVDs, tees, and other cool stuff) at the end of the movie. They have drink specials all night, starting at 6:30 pm when the doors open. They even give you a handy dandy little bucket so you can get a few beers and enjoy them during the movie. And the crowd? Awesome. They have there usual regulars, along with new people showing up all of the time. It’s a good way to start your week and to ensure you’re not ‘having a case of the Mondays!’

Trocadero Theatre is an entertainment venue presenting an array of independent musical acts and movie screenings. Past concerts include performances by Of Montreal, Until June, and The Killing. The Theatre resides in the heart of the city, near the Gallery at Market East.

Tonight's Movie:

That’s right, everyone’s favorite bowler. And you can win great prizes by dressing up like your favorite character from the movie. Maybe you’re feeling nothing, so be a nihilist. Or you’re feeling a tad on edge; Walter would be perfect for you. Either way, come dressed up and leave with some cool swag!

First Date?

It’s also a really cool first date place. Instead of paying almost $20 for two people to get into a regular movie theater, plus concessions, which could possibly cost you around $10 bucks jus for popcorn and a soda, you’ll just pay $6 and get two beers! And you and your date can have a rip-roaring’ good time.

This Monday’s movie? The Big LEBOWSKI.

So, brave the cold, grab a seat & a beer, and get ready for the movie.

The only way I can handle going to see a movie in a theater these days is if there is food and alcohol. This place sounds great!
