Looking good is the absolute best revenge and MB knows it. When she’s feeling a little bit blue, (and Pet Sounds isn’t doing it for her) MB spends a couple of hours milling around Sephora. In the end, no matter how many new looks she tries, MB always comes out with the same liquid eyeliner, false lashes, and light pink lip gloss.

There are clearly plenty of Nueva Yorkinos de Mexico…so MB wants to know: what’s the deal with the blatant lack of authentic Mexican cuisine? And what Mexican the Big Apple does offer is either Tex-Mex, Chinese Mexican take-out, or upscale fusion. According to many on both sides of the border, El Maguey y la Tuna is a diamond in the rough in the Lower East Side. Of course, MB doesn’t actually eat Mexican, but if her date does, she’ll know exactly where to go!

No place makes MB feel more at home than Canyon Beachwear, a chain that comes from her native California and has found a storefront on the Upper East Side’s Third Avenue. Canyon Beachwear is MB’s go-to for lingerie and swimwear. Be warned, Ken.

MB doesn’t need a to go often, but when she does, she heads to MaxWax on the Upper West Side. MaxWax is inviting and specializes in getting rid of anything unwanted…anywhere.

On the weekend, MB just wants to tool around in a sports car; preferably a convertible. To find the perfect wheels for a Saturday in The Hamptons or Upstate, MB heads to Manhattan Motorcars. Nothing here is cheap and everything is pretty exotic…just the way MB likes it.

MB doesn’t just “show up” looking this good; maintaining the perfect shade of bronze, especially in a City where the beaches can only be used three months out of the year, takes some doing. And this “doing” is done by the professionals at Sundara Airbrush Tanning. Tanning beds are a thing of the past. A Cali girl would never want to age herself prematurely…would she, Skipper?

Sure, there’s always Jamba Juice, but for a real smoothie, Juice Generation has MB covered after that long gym class.

MB cares about the environment…a lot. So she’s set up an appointment to buy her first hybrid car at Toyota of Manhattan. Eleventh Avenue can feel a little bit like the ends of the Earth, but MB can take a taxi there and drive home in a brand-new Prius.

Gee! It sure gets chilly here in the winter! And not just any outerwear will do. The North Face has all the warmth of Ken’s embrace, coupled with a chic, DEPENDABLE, waterproof exterior.

Nobody’s saying that MB’s not a natural blonde; but the secrets to her perfect tresses lie with Midtown East cut and color specialist, Roy Teeluck. And GOOD luck getting an appointment. (perhaps a cut with one of the salon’s junior stylists would be more within reach.) In addition to offering complimentary Italian wines and espresso drinks, Teeluck recently appeared as guest judge on Bravo’s Shear Genius.

Every now and then, MB feels like being baaad…and that means, she decides to EAT! And if she’s going to eat one day, she might as well make that “meal” a scrumptious indulgence from the CA-NY chain, Pinkberry. After a long continuing ed class at Columbia, that’s just what her brain needs! (It will thaw out in the morning if she needs it.)
