In their infinite wisdom, it seems that Local Matters (the creators of Guidespot) selected their satellite offices based on the country's best places to party--we are fortunate enough to have satellite offices in Las Vegas, Nevada, New Orleans, Louisiana, and my office, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Any one of these fine cities offers one the opportunity to minimize their work time and maximize their get-down-and-boogie time; this Guidespot guide focuses on the proper way to visit the Local Matters Voice & Wireless offices, and the Ft. Lauderdale Metro area.

Our building. We’re on the 4th floor.

You gotta eat. Here’s where you can. Grab a burger at a local joint, or go out for drinks after work. It’s all here.

Shop where we locals shop—all local shopping close to the office. Everything from drugstores to big-box, malls, office supplies and electronics, and specialty shops recommended by our staff.

South Florida is positively loaded with touristy-type places to see and fun stuff to do. The guides in here are only a partial list.

Here we are!

The Basics: Who we are and what we do

The Ft. Lauderdale location of Local Matters is home to the Voice &
Wireless division. Here we leverage Local Matters vast information
assets into super-fast, customized directory-assistance solutions for
large telecommunications companies. If you think of databases as cars,
the average server and database software that runs a typical business
in car terms is like a Honda Accord. We provide custom database
solutions for our customers that are along the lines of the Lamborghini
Murcelago.

I'm an IT manager for a business unit of the very company that produces Guidespot! I have two great kids, and positively love long-distance motorcycle touring.
