Are you one of those people who waits till the last minute to buy gifts because the whole process kind of blows and no one's going to like what you got them anyway? What do you at the last minute? Do you brave Rite Aid and just get them toiletries? Go to Target? Make those little cards, "Good for one hug" and "Good for homemade dinner"?

Leftover Owl Soaps

This year I had to make a lot of owl soaps for “work,” i.e. stores that carry them and my own Etsy shop. I made a lot of extras because I only have ONE owl mold, so if someone orders 10 at a time, I’m screwed. Well, now I have a lot leftover. Hope everyone likes owl soaps!

Duane Reade

425 Park Ave Frnt 2, New York, NY 10022

Ah yes, the annoying but ubiquitous drug store chain in New York. In addition to carrying big tubs of pretzels, dvds, “bath sets,” and candy, you can even get Duane Reade gift cards. We’re all about necessities these days, aren’t we? Buy mom and dad some laundry detergent and toothbrushes then.

Pearl River Mart

I bought at least half of my Xmas presents here one year. Cool Chinese goods that aren’t plastic toys at Kmart! Umbrellas, cards, clothes, soap, shoes, origami paper, ceramic bowls, chopsticks, and lots of other gifty items.

Whatever you got in the office gift exchange

You know you’ve done it…

Cry "Recession"

Sorry Mom, Dad, Brother, all my money this year has gone to bailing out financial companies.  I’m broke!

I do, however, know where you can get a great deal on owl soap…

These owls are amazing! Made my Grandmother’s year. Seriously. Oh, and my mom wants you to write a book about the Safety Cones. She told me so.
