I really enjoy reading about stories from people that work with the public. We, the public, are an endless source of humor, sadness, confusion and irritation. These bloggers capture us well.

The Librarian

At first blush a librarian may not seem like a very people-intense job but it really is.
Between the Shelves is a very funny and insightful look into the secret and undocumented life of one librarian as she deals with the public.
This blogger just started writing and could use some comments/encouragement to keep the stories coming.  Stop by for a visit and leave a comment if you like what you’ve read.

The London Cabbie

I think cabbies have a very interesting perspective on the public.  A stranger gets in his car, gives a location (sometimes very badly) and they drive there together.  Sometimes in silence and other times a great story comes out of it.
This blogger works in London (one of my favorite cities) and has seen it all.  A good writer with even better stories.

The American in Paris

Polly is a great blogger, baby boomer living her dream in Paris, France.  She has a refreshing perspective on the city and isn’t bashful about sharing her love of the language, the culture the people and the city.  This blog is addicting.  Fortunately Polly updates almost daily.

The San Diego Cabby

Yes, another cabbie.  Sorry, I think the interaction these guys have with the public is interesting.  This blogger in San Diego has very different experiences than the London Cabbie bringing a SoCal-perspective to his fares.  Good reading even though he doesn’t update more than once a week.

UFOs are magnets for people who research them, or read about them, or talk about them, or comment about them.

Great start! I was confused by the headline initially, but now that I’ve read it, the guide makes total sense. Way compelling!
