When this little guy was born he did well until his mommy laid down on him. I heard scretching and ran to find the little guy not breathing. I never thought I'd do this but mouth to snouted the little fellow, rubbing and crying. All of a sudden the little guy wheezed in some air. His name is peanut and true to his irish setter breed he is the smartest, although the smallest of them all. He has two sisters, an older brother and a mom and dad he lives with. His other brothers and sisters have found great homes and their moms and dad's contact to tell us how they are doing. No regular toys for these guys, because of their intellegents we put dry food in a ball and as they roll it the food will come out. They love this ball. We put their biscuts and hide them like an easter egg hunt which gives them hours of fun. What they really like is this stupid looking duck that quacks. But, they are bird dogs and they are breed for bird hunting. They love it! People have asked me why I wanted an Irish Setter. I held off on having a dog until I could find one. Well it's simple their hair matches my hair color, their blue eyes as mine and we are Irish! Two special things happened in my life or is it three, a divorce after a 25 year abusive marriage, finding my sould mate, and our puppies. A beautiful peace of heaven in Arkansas well I guess there is more special things but IRISH SETTER LOVE! There is Irish Setter rescue and a Irish setter club. Maybe we will meet sometime?
