Ok, maybe the dancing part is a bit hard ot coordinate but everyone know that every Indie Goddess has been involved in some dance scene at a point in her life (even Zooey Deschanel had a dance scene incorporated in her newest movie 500 Days of Summer) but really this is about rocking the bold, BRIGHT colors that you first learne din Kingergarten. Yellow, Blue, Red! From head to toe, that is the rule.

Be Simple. No Fuss.....

Indie Goddesses aren’t afraid to rock the “no-makeup, no fuss” look. They’re proud of their skin tone, the way their hair looks when it’s product free and naturally dried. They rock th boyfriend t-shirts and the unkept “cool” of a lose button down shirt. White. Grey. Pale. You get the idea.

Short skirts and kitschy patterns.

Indie Goddesses aren’t obsessed with having “the perfect body” they aren’t lifting or doing squats in the gym, they’re comfortable with their natural form. So no matter the shape, the size, their arms and their legs will be out. Sexy Indie Goddesses aren’t afraid to rock the short skirt every once in awhile. And they’re even more unafraid of rocking wild patterns.

Find solace in vintage shopping. Thrift stores and lucky 60’s finds. Shift dresses, Holly Hobby patterns, olive colored buttons and bows.

and pink, avacado green or banana yellow. Fashion some bold printed tapestrys. Oh so Indie.

You'll need to be able to drink Whiskey. Or scotch. Or both.

Indie Goddesses take to the drink and they take it well, like a trooper. They’re most likely not sipping a Cosmo, but can handle a shot of Jack, or Scotch on the rocks. It’s hardcore, it’s badass. It’s a little dark, which is sort of the underlying Indie Goddess appeal- the mystery. Your drink should reflect that.

Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes is the epitomy of Indie Goddess. She even sparkles and that’s a major equation to it. Glitter, sequined headbands, BINDIS. Anything that screams, “LOOK AT ME SHINE” (that ISN’T bronzer) i.e. eyeliner, shimmering green and blue eyeshadow, etc. is a YES.

It isn’t an everyday thing, but is used sparingly, perferably while rocking metallic leggings and concert tickets in hand.
