The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, located in central Scottsdale, is a great and very well air conditioned escape from dreary heat of the desert. They offer excellent customer service and a wide array of teas and coffees, served both cold and hot. This is a great place to kick off your date, and really get into some quirky conversations before heading out to dinner. Plus, if you are tired, you can wake up fast and be more attentive to your date’s needs.

Following a great conversation and some personalized time drinking coffee or tea, it is time to head out to dinner reservations at the one and only Melting Pot. This awesome restaurant is located just a few miles north of the coffeehouse, and offers a dimly lit and very romantic setting, fabulous eats and great service.

Break away from the traditional eatery and impress your date by taking them to this fondue spot. The tables are all equipped with cooking devices, you order a main fondue meal and the servers cook it right before your eyes. The best part is desert, with the exception to breads and cheeses for appetizers, where you will dip fruit and cookies in hot, melted chocolates.

This premier theatre, owned and operated by Harkins theatres, offers one of the biggest screens in the country. It is about a ten minute drive from the restaurant, but the wait is well worth it. You will receive excellent customer service, and the place is really big. 5.1 digital surround-sound will make it feel like you are in the movie. The screen is so big it sucks you in. And, the chairs are luxury, featuring rocking, armrests, head rests and footrests. Without a doubt, this is the nicest theatre in Arizona.

Before you head to your dinner engagements, take a romantic walk in the beautiful Civic Center Park in downtown Scottsdale. The park has paved walkways, plenty of benches, and much to see. There are several ponds that feature coy fish and other exotic fishes and the best part is the large swans you will see swimming around. Civic Center is both beautiful and romantic, and the restaurant you are to dine in, is but minutes away.

For dinner it is time to change up the cliché: head to the Mystery Mansion for an exciting and very different dinner theatre; one that is hard to find elsewhere. Enjoy a great play, adorned with awesome sets and one that encourages interactivity to the fullest. Their menu is both gourmet and extravagant, and the service is hard to beat. At the end of the show it’s up to you, the audience, to solve the mystery.

Following a wonderful dinner theatre, make your way into South Scottsdale to grab some desert at the Gelato Spot. This place features tons of different flavors, all made from scratch daily using authentic Italian recipes. Two can enjoy fabulous gelato for about $5 a person. There is plenty of seating so you can talk about the dinner theatre you watched before heading out on the town for drinks.

Finish off your date at the popular, but tucked away, Six Lounge in Scottsdale; but a few minutes away from the Gelato Spot. This very sheik lounge offers modernized seating and a gourmet flare to their drinks. Make sure that you are dressed to impress or you may not gain admittance. There is always cool music playing in the background, and you can enjoy yourself and your date, not to mention a few good drinks before heading home.
