There are a few things that can make people act irrationally; sickness- when I very appropriately regress back to being eight years old when I can't do anything without my "Mommy." alcohol- most of us have been there, we may not even remember our out of hand behavior AND.....heartbreak! It's like you're willing to do anything to take away from the ridiculous feeling that you have a hole in your chest. Lately, I've been had to try and figure out to act like a lady and less of a "Crazy..." So tell me, how do YOU deal with heartbreak????? I really hope you're as irrational as I am.
I Get a New Tattoo
Whenever my heart hurts, I figure having some REAL external pain may take away from the internal pain I’m feeling. When I get a tattoo it’s also saying, “I am recording this moment down, the moment where I’ve decided to MOVE ON, start fresh!!!! This tattoo symbolizes my victory and my strength!!”
I Throw Things.....
Especially breakable things. Anything that will make a nice loud CRASHING noise, even better if the things I throw has a picture of his face on it. I get that this is part of the irrational behavior I was talking about where I start acting like a child. AND I DON’T CARE. So there.
I go out with my friends
There is not much better than brunch or dinner and drinks with your friends when the crying time is over. They tell you how amazing you are and what a jerk he is. They never even liked him in the first place.
Love this book. Makes me laugh out loud! Laughter is the best medicine! I can relate to Bridget and I realize I am not the only one who feels this way.
Sure, maybe it’s personal and no one really gives a rats to read my whining over someone completely unworthy and they don’t even know. I’m sure bringing it up over and over gets to be a boring topic for the readers, BUT, it’s a release for me. Writing down my emotions, confusion, ANGER, and all of those emotions that come along with heartbreak helps me move on.
I Bake Cakes
...then I eat them. Cake is sweet and delicious and would never, ever break your heart. Sure it’s the not healthiest option and whoever broke your heart surely doesn’t deserve the satisfaction of making you fat. But hey, one or two pieces isn’t going to kill you.
Non-dairy chocolate chip pancakes for brunch will make you feel better and not add too much to your waistline. You have to look hot to make him jealous! They have great organic dishes for dinner and the best sangria you will ever drink. Get the mango and get a pitcher…or two.
I love walking. Especially in my beautiful city. City Walks makes decks of “50 adventures on foot”. 50 portable cards with a map on one side telling you where the nearest landmarks are and information about the neighborhood on the back. Pick one, head out and learn something new about your city.
