Unless you are fortunate to have a daily (weekly, monthly, yearly) housekeeper chores are an unpleasant task. What is your favorite or most hated chore?

Cleaning the bathroom

I love it when my bathroom is clean.  It’s actually the only room I HAVE to clean (meaning I don’t let it fall the the internet/tivo/social life/It’s not THAT dirty wayside).

Grandma's bed

Making the bed

Making sure my bed is presentable is a daily chore that I never miss.  But the BEST time (for sleepin’) is just after it’s freshly made.  You know…when the sheets are jammed so tight you have to suck in your breath to get under the covers.

Ahhhh…such sweet tucked-in-ed-ness that quickly falls to the wayside when feet get hot or tossing and turning happens!

Clean Laundry

Oh I love the smell of clean laundry! I especially love to fold it. I usually take my time folding laundry, while watching a movie. Haven’t done laundry in a while, this actually reminded me that I need to do a lot of things…. Reasons Why I Need To Clean My Apartment.

Washing the bathtub

I HATE washing the bathtubs! In my household, my husband dusts and runs the vacuum and I clean the bathrooms, a situation mutually agreed upon and upheld for 6 of the 9 years we have lived together. However. I would scrub a thousand toilets (those used only by my husband, myself, and our guests, of course) if I never had to wash another tub! It is an awkward-positioned, neverending, backbreaking, chemical-inhaling job, and it is the bane of my existence!!

HATE

Dishes

Washing Dishes

Something about dipping my hand into hot (or not so hot), soapy (or not so soapy) water riddled with floating food chunks always turns my stomach.

I now live with a dish washer (not the human kind…the robot kind) and I put EVERYTHING in it.  I don’t care that it takes days (or weeks) to fill up.

This girl hates her some dish pan hands!

OK, I give up...

OK, I give up…

Laundry

It’s not the creating it (I absolutely like to change my outfits).  It’s not the sorting it (a wardrobe consisting of blacks, grays, reds, whites, and sometimes blues makes it pretty easy).  It’s not even doing the washing (water, clothes, soap…and I don’t care if dissolving the soap first works best).

I. truly. can’t. stand. putting. it. away.
Especially the folded, have to find a spot in already too full drawers kind.

that rug really ties the room together.

I either need less enemies or a bigger ditch behind my backyard.

Vacuuming

I HATE vacuuming (and sadly have not be able to find a good apartment with wood floors). I think it’s mostly the noise I can’t stand— I guess I should invest in some good ear plugs.
