10 All Time Hottest Guys Ever (burn victims, arsonists, & wielders of flame)
These guys are either on fire or they bring the heat...
From “The Year Without A Santa Clause” (1974)
Burning Monk
Buddhist Monk, Thich Quang Duc, set himself on fire in 1963 in a busy downtown Saigon intersection and stoically sat back relaxed and took it. He sacrificed his life in that manner to bring attention to and protest the religiously oppressive Catholic Diem regime that had been in control of the South Vietnamese government.
This famous photo was taken by photographer Malcolm Browne.
Richard Pryor
Pryor caught fire on June, 9 1980 in his own home after drinking and freebasing cocaine.
Varg Vikerness
Varg, who’s real first name is Ironically Kristian, is a Swedish musician known for his one man Black Metal project “Burzum” which he records under his alias “Count Grishnackh”.
Varg was suspected of being involved with the rampant burning of historic churches in Sweden. He was never convicted until he was tried for the malicious and fatal stabbing of peer Øystein Aarseth (Mayhem) in 1993. He is still serving his 21 year sentence which includes charges for the church arsons.
Robert Downey Jr.
While portraying his current role as Sherlock Holmes, Downey knocked a pipe of hot tobacco onto his lap setting his genitalia ablaze. The story is that co-star, Jude Law (Watson) poured the water out of a nearby flower vase to kill the trouser fire.
Satan
“Don’t tell me you know nothing of my work”
Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson’s infamous igniting took place in 1984 while he was filming a Pepsi commercial in front of around 3,000 fans. Sparks from the pyrotechnics landed on the back of his head and set his hair on fire. He was forced to wear a hair piece for the rest of the year while collecting awards for his album Thriller, which was BURNING up the charts.
James Hetfield
While on tour with Guns N’ Roses at the Montreal’s Olympic Stadium in 1992, the Metallica Frontman stepped into a 12 foot flame from their pyrotechnic heavy stage show. His guitar blocked much of the flames but the left half of his body was engulfed, burning his hand, eyebrows, and handlebar mustache.
As evidenced by the photo above, they continued to burn things up on stage to compensate for the last 20 years of their musical careers.

(he tells it better than I do)
The Human Torch
The Marvel Comic book hero made his first appearance in Fantastic Four #1 (1961). Johnny Storm was a highschool student that was effected by radiation during space travel. Now he just flies around wielding fire.
The cover of Burzum’s “Aske” EP, which is Swedish for ash, features a photograph of the Fantoft stave church post arson. Fantoft was the most notable of the church arsons.
Johnny Cash
Said to be the only person ever sued by the US government for starting a forest fire, In June 1965, an overheated wheel bearing ignited Johnny Cash’s truck and, subsequently, Los Padres National Forest in California.
Hundreds of acres were lost as well as over $82,000 of Cash’s money in reparations. When questioned about starting the fire, Cash is said to have responded to the judge by stating, “I didn’t do it, my truck did, and it’s dead, so you can’t question it.”
This video isn’t about a specific person, exactly, but it definitely fits in to this guide nicely and I like seeing people running on fire.
It’s no wonder that the footage, directed by Spike Jonze, is so much more famous than the band that it was recorded for.
