Share Your Ride, Save on Gas, Meet Some Cool People
Denver Ridesharing on Craigslist
Link into the Craigslist community of other fellow ride-sharers and offer a ride and find yourself a ride. Just place an ad for where you are going or where you need to go, and find others who are heading the same direction.
SkiCarpool.org: Skiers Ridesharing
Team up with other skiers and snowboarders who like to regularly go to the same mountains as you do.
Don't Be Shy
Believe it or not carpooling scares a lot of people, who are worried about freak encounters. Just use common sense, when carpooling and you will be surprised with the quality of people to meet. If your nervous travel with other people and screen your rides to make sure you feel comfortable.
Ditch The H2 or SUV
Despite the fact, we Americans are addicted to Large cars, there are a few changes you can make to reduce your contributions to greenhouse gases. If you can’t ditch the your cars, try downsizing your commuter car to a smaller more efficient car. This works great if you are a family and have one car that is much more used.
Don't Drive!
If high prices are getting to you, the cheapest option is… Stop Driving! But like abstinence this option doesn’t work for most people.
Denver: Sorry No FlexCars
The largest car sharing company in the World……brouhaha. Unfortunately, FlexCar doesn’t have a Denver operation yet. But the more demand we get for car sharing the higher the chance Denver becomes rideshare friendly. As Denver increases in size, our chances of that happening are getting better. Pass the word!
