Aside from having 50 daily showings of the new Harry Potter movie, San Francisco is going out of its way to show the scarred and spectacled wizard some love. Grab your broom and check out all things Harry (and Ron and Hermione) in San Francisco.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

This is a nice chunk of the movie to get you in the mood if you missed the midnight opening.

San Francisco's Azkatraz

Along with the 50 daily showings of Harry’s new movie, anyone in the Bay or anyone who wants to get over to the Bay can nerd out at Azkatraz. The costumes will be plentiful and the events are actually pretty awesome.

Parc 55 Hotel

55 Cyril Magnin St, San Francisco

This is where everything is going down. Get your hotel reservation in and then get set for some Potter overindulging. From a PJ Party to Potter Vendors to Hogwarts grub, the Parc 55 is going to look like Hogsmeade for a week.

Golden Gate Park

501 Stanyan St, San Francisco, CA 94117

Quite possibly the most awesome event in the history of awesome events is happening at Beach Chalet Fields. the 141st Fog Bowl Quidditch Tournament has been set up pitting different houses in San Francisco against each other. From the Alcatraz Birdmen to Presidio Pelicans, all of the city is represented. While I can’t promise any actual flying brooms, a great deal of running with a broom between your legs will definitely happen.

For the latest in Potter gear so you don’t show up to the Quidditch match in the wrong colors.

Even Tom Cruise is in the mood

I bet Tom could pull off Harry’s role.

Man! What is going on here in Guidespot! Where is all the Potter love? Am I the only nerd in the group?

Haha a heart!!! I actually read all the books and enjoyed them but didn’t fall madly in love with them. And I don’t really love the movies at all. I just don’t get it. I wish I could get super into the hype!

A heart I guess. The first book is probably the worst of the series. The story gets progressively darker as you go on. My favorite is the fourth book.
