Ethwiny's Take on Fireworks in Harrisburg

I love fireworks, yes I do.  I love fireworks, how ‘bout you?

Harrisburg shoots ’em from the tip of City Island (close to the Beach House.)  So sit down on the steps by the water.  There is always plenty of room and your view won’t be obstructed.

Or, if you’re lucky, watch ‘em from your boat.  I do not have a boat.  But I would really, really (really, really) like to experience that someday.  (I’m looking at YOU … the person reading this guide who HAS a boat and who wouldn’t mind some fireworks watching company?  Please?)

International Village Vendors

  • Handmade windchimes
  • Recycled Sari skirts
  • Native American Flutes
  • Sitar & World Jazz
  • Ten Thousand Villages
  • World Clothing and Accessories
  • Kenya Handmades

Children's Village Vendors

  • Big Smile
  • Country Kids Jamboree Crafts
  • Family FunTyme Rides and Games
  • Musical Enrichment Harmonicas
  • Ping Pong Fish

Fireworks Schedule!

Friday: South Riverfront Park during a Comcast Star Stage performance.  (Be entertained by The Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra.)

Saturday: On City Island following the Harrisburg Senators Game.

Sunday: From City Island (And this is the big ‘un!  Don’t miss it!)

I like bunnies, tucking my jeans inside of my boots, being in warm places, Shooter Jennings, Coca-Cola, photos taken in photo booths, boys who are made of 'snakes and snails and puppy dog tails', and recycling paper.
