The Guidespot Community Guidelines
Guidespot is a collection of online guides created by a user just like you, and our main mission is to provide a free platform for people to be creative. we rely on our community to help keep Guidespot a fun online environment, so follow these guidelines and watch the GSpot community thrive. Hey, We have to watch out for our community, so play by the rules, or risk the possibility of having your activity, such as comments, shout outs, and guides, among others, deleted, or being banned from the site all together.
Your Guide, Your Rules
Guidespot is about self-expression, visual creation, and community/social interaction. Since you are the author of your guides, and the owner of your profile, you become a moderator for your territory. If you don’t like a comment or any other interaction on your guide or profile, feel free to moderate your guide by deleting or rearranging contributions from the community.
World Domination
Share your content on your blogs, on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, via text, via IM, and I don’t know, email your guides to your Nana… Just feel free to get the word out about Guidespot. Sharing your guide with the world, ok, and your immediate network of friends and family, gets more views to your guides and allows you to be part of the revolution.
Creepy-Creeps
We encourage lurking, and even G-Crushes (hey boys!), but don’t be a creepy-creep. If you have to ask me if it is creepy or not, than it probably is! Ewww.
Smorgasbord of Users
Some users like to use Guidespot as an outlet for businesses advertising. Informing the community and the internets about your business will reap more benefits if you don’t just use a guide as a free advertising outlet. Business-only guides, that look like an advertisement or spam by or for the business, and that don’t act as a resource, might be removed from the homepage stream. We recommend making an informative guide, which helps promote your business by being a resource or fun and entertaining. Here are some examples of Guidespot businesses guides that are on the right track to pull in readers, and potentially new clients: Orlando’s Best Hair Color: Before and After and How to Save and Make Money on Wedding Flowers.

Pass the Aggression Please

To make a bigger impact, become an active member of the community, and earn trust through guides and interaction. Then, when you want to vent, the community will most likely listen and respond. Inflammatory guides, content, comments, or shout outs are not tolerated.
Spam-a-Lot
Spam our community and their guides, and we will politely warn and/or delete your profile, and potentially track your IP address. And then, for fun, just like on “You Can’t Do That on Television,” we will slime you.
