Grand Canyon

This petting zoo provides visitors hands-on experiences with different varieties of deer, pygmy goats, llamas, miniature donkeys, and peacocks. It affords guests the opportunity to view the animals up close by walking among them, touching them, and hand-feeding them. It is located near Davenport Lake, east of Williams.

Wupatki National Monument preserves many pueblos and field houses as well as pieces of rock art, baskets and pottery left by the Anasazi and Sinagua Indians. Abandoned some 800 years ago, the site is now home to a visitors center which features interactive exhibits about the history of the inhabitants and builders of these pueblos. The park sits north of Sunset Crater National Monument, about 30 miles north of Flagstaff.

Flagstaff (Navajo: Kinłání) is a city located in northern Arizona, in the southwestern United States. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 52,894. Flagstaff is the notheren terminus of Interstate 17 which runs 145 mi (232 km) south to the city of Phoenix, Arizona. The town's name is mentioned in the lyrics to the song, "Route 66".Besides winter snow skiing at the Arizona Snow Bowl west of Humphreys Peak, nearby tourist attractions include Walnut Canyon National Monument, Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, Wupatki National Monument, Oak Creek Canyon, Barringer Crater (meteor crater), The Arboretum at Flagstaff, and the Museum of Northern Arizona. Grand Canyon National Park is 75 mi (120 km) north of Flagstaff along U.S. Route 180 while Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Lake Powell are both about 135 mi (216 km) north along U.S. Route 89
