What's so great about college anyway?

I'd like to think of myself as an intelligent woman. I enjoy learning, doing homework and writing papers (I know, what's wrong with me?!) Wanting to pursue a career in the medical field I decided to go back to school. I'm young enough and practically look like a freshmen anyway - why not?! Well no sooner than I unwrapped my first book did I realize I may be in WAY over my head. So as my first semester back dwindles down and I'm nearing finals, I'm contemplating not returning (mostly out of fear and shear exhaustion.) So I'm curious folks - what are/were your favorite or least favorite parts of college?

The Learning

Depending on who you are and why you study this could be either your favourite or least favourite part of college. I left college about 8 years ago because I hated having to spend all my time studying. 2 years ago I went back and am doing a part-time degree and I love the study.

The trick is to pick something you really want to do…otherwise you’re going to drop out.

If you know what your ultimate goal is; isn’t it worth a little short term pain to get there?

These are my favorites, yes they are

-Meeting new people and throwing up on their carpet.

-Running home from parties at 4 in the morning . . . even though no one was chasing us. (Don’t ask why, I have no idea)

-Learning that everything I was taught would never be applied to real life.
