We all need a little eye candy. Spending eight hours in front of a computer at work and another three in front of a laptop at school can be a huge drain on my creative juices. To keep my sanity in line I like to switch up my desktop wallpapers. Here are some sites I frequent, some pictures I've used and hopefully some submissions from you on your favorite wallpapers.
Loads of free wallpapers with atmosphere for days.
Interfacelift
A recent addition to their library of images.
Whether you want the sweet background or the current band line-up, Noise Pop! delivers.
Noise Pop!
I got this at the 2009 SF Noise Pop! site. With a few minutes in photoshop I had a new desktop background. One of my favorite things to do is adjust a photo or picture to fit my screen.
This artist is known for his graffiti and all of it makes for some great wallpaper.
If you like a particular photographer or artist, a Google Images search of their name will often return great desktop wallpaper results.
Hiroshi Sugimoto's Zen
This is my current office wallpaper. I never thought staring at a computer monitor could be so calming.
Running
This was my work desktop. Runnersworld.com has a desktop section that they update every eight years or so, but the wallpapers are still worth checking out.
I can spend hours browsing this site. These are all current pictures usually taken from a giant’s perspective.
This was another photoshop adjustment to make a sweet background.
All homemade by a Russian guy named Vlad. I have used a lot of his images over the past few years.
Randoms
Every once in awhile I’ll randomly come across a photo that is too great to leave behind. This one is currently sitting in my “desktop” file waiting for its day of wallpaper glory.
Wristcutters Love
A random desktop from a great movie.
