Remember that time when the economy was really bad so we all had to stay at jobs that kinda sucked because we were too afraid that we couldn't find any other jobs that didn't suck quite so much? Oh, wait...What's that? It's happening to you right now? Well, let's all join in fantasizing about the day when we could all enjoy a little joie de quitting.

I Totally Threw My Ugly Restaurant Shoes At My Dirty Old Restaurant Manager

Okay, I guess I just kind of threw them on the floor in the corner a few feet away from where he was standing. But that man was the devil! He actually told me, “Don’t get mad. You don’t look pretty when you’re mad, and that’s the only thing you have going for you.”

Whole Food's Human Banana Guy

I would prefer real estate flippy-sign guy or perhaps nose hair modeling to this crappy job.

I Spent All Day Drinking Champagne Out Of A To Go Cup Before Quitting

All right, maybe it was just Andre sparkling wine, and maybe I did feel hungover after only the first cup, but it was totally worth it. Although, I actually started to enjoy the job a little bit in those last hours.

I Told A Hopeful Young Manager She Was Part Of A Pyramid Scheme

Well, it was for her own good! After only a half day of working as “sales rep” for some cosmetics company, it became infinitely clear that it was a pyramid scheme. I think the manager cried a little as I was grabbing my coat.

I got "my priorities straight"

Once upon a time I worked at TJ Maxx, a semi-horrifying experience. That store was incredibly disorganized and messy, which drove me up a wall. I called off a few times so that I could a) work with my aunt at weekend craft shows and b) to have enough time to fill out my boatload of college applications. I was told this was unacceptable and that I needed to “get my priorities straight.” OH REALLY? Putting every effing bra back on a hanger and cleaning up spilled bottles of disgusting perfume should take priority over spending time with my family and going to college? Right. I left a message that was a nicer version of “I have my priorities straight—I quit.”

I almost want to quit my job to try out the champagne-in-a-to-go-cup option.

I quit my last job— and I’m (sorta) proud of it! Way to foster quitter pride!
