Pop Culture's Best Fictional Relationships
I'm one of those people who gets entirely too wrapped up into celebrity relationships. I get excited when things are going well and I feel disappointed when they split, which, these days, is practically inevitable. So I try to find solace and comfort in fictional couples, because the world is a better place on TV and in cartoons right? Right?!
Superman & Lois Lane
By day, a nerd with glasses. By night, a flying chiseled work of art. I can see why Lois Lane fell for Superman. I still don’t know how or if they two ever have sex.

Romeo & Juliet
The tale of star-crossed lovers is one of history’s greatest romances. It’s been seen in countless books, movies, and TV shows. It’s one of my favorite Shakespeare tragedies. I always tear up when I reach the end, as if it would change the second, third or eleventh time around.
Just in case you need to remember the magic between these two, check out this clip: Kissing You

Kermit & Miss Piggy
So would Miss Piggy be Kermit’s sugar mama? She’s a star and he’s that frog who sings on a rock on Sesame Street. It’s not easy being green!

Buffy & Angel
I’m not sure what it is about vampires, but not even the vampire slayer could keep away. Then again, if every vampire looked like David Boreanaz I’m pretty sure I’d be a vampire layer too.

Jim & Pam
For the past I don’t know how many years I never understood what all the fuss over Jim and Pam was about. I’m currently watching the third season of The Office and I’m finally realizing the fuss. They’re adorable. I’m officially joining the masses of women upset with John Krasinski for marrying Emily Blunt.

Ross & Rachel
Weren’t they like TV’s first big “IT” couple? Ross & Rachel, Rachel & Ross. The first time they kissed outside of Central Perk was a teary moment for women all over America.
Because you know you want to see it again.
Dr. Brennan (Bones) & Booth
So it hasn’t happened yet. Currently they’re still just partners, but both have admitted to having feelings for the other. It’s only a matter of time before these two hook up. They have to. Right?
Some of this might be hard to watch. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Homer & Marge
I’m not sure how Marge puts up with Home’s behavior at times, but the fact that after ten…eleven? What season are they in now? Well whatever. She’s incredibly patient and forgiving and Homer doesn’t know how lucky he is!

Carrie & Mr. Big
If you’re like me, then you watched the entire series of Sex and the City before the movie was released just so you could relive the ups and downs of Carrie and Big’s relationship before the closure we so desperately needed. I was thrilled that at the end of the series he went to Paris to get her, but I wanted to see more of their life together. Bring in the movie. They had more ups and downs, of course, but there was a happy ending. I’m ready for the sequel. Bring it!

Mickey & Minnie Mouse
I’m pretty sure it would be illegal to not include these two.

Doug & Carrie
This dynamic duo from King Of Queens masters the balance between hysterical hysteria and seriously cute moments. Funny couples always win in my book.
Lucy and Desi
OK, so they were married in real life too, but I didn’t know that as a kid. I LOVED them. And was thrilled when I heard they were really married. And then was heart-broken when I heard they got divorced. Still what I think of as the Best On-Screen Couple ever.
