The Color Purple

I love the color purple and you better believe it will be incorporated into my wardrobe this fall. It’s the perfect pop of color to my already full wardrobe of blacks and grays. Not to mention, I always prefer to be daring with my color choices.

Colored Leather

I’ve finally broken down and purchased a leather bomber (much like this one pictured above), and have opted for a color rather than your traditional brown or black. With a lighter color such as this gray leather the jacket itself will easily transition from season to season.

Riding Boots

Yes that’s right, Emerald Dandy will be bringing back his riding boots! Call me crazy, but I love the preppy look of tucking my skinny jeans or trousers into my boots.

Scarves

Anyone who knows me can attest to the fact that I’m obsessed with scarves. Big, small, solid, or patterned, I have an assortment of scarves large enough to make people cringe. To me I love the scarf for the idea that it’s the icing on the cake; the extra- in extraordinary; the finishing touch to an outfit. Let us not forget, scarves also play a key role in keeping us warm come Winter.

Cozy Sweaters

Have you noticed my trend yet? This season will be all about staying cozy while looking amazing. I most certainly intend on bundling myself up in delicious sweaters much like this one pictured above.

Desert Boots

The versatility of the desert boot is incredible. These suede beauties can be dressed up or down, depending on your mood. This beautiful taupe color will find its way into my shoe wardrobe, just as soon as I can track down a pair for myself!

Oversized Cardigans

Sadly I must admit I am a cardigan fiend. I own far too many, so this trend will not be too difficult. I love the idea of the oversized cardigan because it exudes the thought of being comfortable. No more is the stereotype of “nerdy” with cardigans, because these oversized pieces bring you casual and sheik.

Plaids & Fall Prints

The idea of being up at the lodge is a feeling that I love to think about, and that’s why you’ll find me in festive (and comfortable) plaids, tartans, and other fall prints. This fall will be all about bringing Green Acres down to Park Avenue in a most delightful way.

I like the combination cardigan/scarf look. Definitely a favorite way for me to sport these two fall trends.

Fingerless Gloves

Ever have the issue of trying to manipulate your fingers to do basic everyday functions while wearing gloves? It’s near impossible! That’s why I’ll be rocking the fingerless gloves – a combination of fashion and function.

Floral Leggings

OK, I get that this could either go REALLY WELL, or horribly wrong. I think it’s going to go well.

A bright pea coat!

I have a hot pink winter coat already, but lately I’ve been thinking yellow…or bright green. Something that will coordinate well with fall leaves for optimal I-look-cute-in-autumn photo opportunities. Is that shallow?
