Then & Now: Movies you loved then & still entertain you now
We all have movies that we never get tired of watching. I spent a lot of time in front of the TV as a child. Looking back I do wonder what I was thinking by pressing play or how I could even enjoy it, but some how I manage. These movies wore out my VCR. What were your favorites?
I’d like to thank this movie for sparking my interest in football. Nevermind the days where my dad would dress me up like a mini bear. It all started with the snot bubble.
Ren & Stimpy
I know this isn’t a movie, but I can’t help myself. I was obsessed with Ren & Stimpy. If you’d like to relive a cherished memory of my childhood, watch the video for Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksman.
You’re going to judge me for this. I’m okay with that. In my defense, I was young and immune to the annoyance that was Pauly Shore.
Quack, quack, quack, quack…
“Nice f*ckin’ model.” I got in so much trouble for repeating that line, but I couldn’t help it.
Meatballs
The best worst inspirational speech ever! “It just doesn’t matter!”
The Goonies
Chunk was my favorite little goonie.
CAMP NOWHERE
Remember when Jessica Alba wasn’t yet hugely famous?!! She was in this!
CLASSIC. I always wanted to trick someone like this…hm…
DREW BARRYMORE WILL ALWAYS BE ONE OF MY FAVORITES.
Eh. I love Kevin Bacon. What can I say beyond that?
I watched this so many times I’m surprised the tape still works. The sequels, meh. I didn’t love them as much.
Rocky loves Emily. Rocky loves Emily. I had an imaginary love affair with Rocky and Colt. I am not ashamed.
My obsession with vampires started at a young age it appears. Oh please, don’t tell me you didn’t cheer along with “How funky is your chicken?”
Hakuna Matata = important life lesson. I still sing along when I watch it.
I don’t care what anyone says, this was the best Batman movie and Michael Keaton will always be my favorite Batman. Done.
Sorry to be a downer on this pretty happy-movie-representin’ guide, but Beaches and other tragedy-illness movies are my go-to favorites.
Did you really think I was going to post anything else? P.S. This is a super-long, fan made trailer with spoilers.
This is the best scene of the whole movie. SHOPLIFTEEEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!
Yes, I went through one of those periods where I was “a Wiccan.” I was also 12.
LOL I remembered another…
I love the Aliens Quadrilogy. Jaws is another favorite of mine.
