Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park has 20 acres of recreated habitats, featuring a wide range of exotic and more common animals from around the planet. The zoo has a particularly strong emphasis on animals from the Central and South America regions, and its founder, Joseph Prentice, ensured a large primate population with his initial request that at least 50 monkeys be cared for at the zoo at all times. Located in Prentice Park on the east side of the city, visitors can also take a train ride around the grounds and interact with different creatures at the Crean Family Farm.
