SEXY BUNNIES: The Playboy Bunny
Everyone is focused on Easter right now, but when I hear bunny, even though I'm a chick, I can't help by think of the most FAMOUS bunny- and that isn't the one that's dropping off chocolate and jelly beans at the door, it's the PLAYBOY BUNNY. There's a different Playboy bunny for all flavors, all ages, types, etc....this bunny doesn't discriminate and actually sticks around YEAR ROUND, not just when Jesus rises. Without furth adieu, your Playboy bunnies!
What is a Playboy Bunny????
Not allcenterfolds are bunnies. Originally it started when Hugh started The Playboy Club, they were they waitresses with the little tails serving cocktails and a hot piece O’ ass. A bunny doesn’t get to just show up, there are bunny “rules” and standards, for instance:
- “Bunny Stance”, a posture that was required in front of patrons. The Bunny must stand with legs together, back arched and hips tucked under
- “Bunny Perch”. She must sit on the back of a chair, sofa, or railing without sitting too close to a patron.
- “Bunny Dip”, was invented by Kelly Collins, once renowned for being the “Perfect Bunny”; to do the “Bunny Dip” the Bunny gracefully leans backwards while bending at the knees with the left knee lifted and tuck behind the right leg. This maneuver allowed Bunny to serve drinks while keeping her low-cut costume in place. Strict regulations were enforced by special workers in the guise of patrons.
To be a bunny:
There were different types of Bunnies, including the Door Bunny, Cigarette Bunny, Floor Bunny, Playmate Bunny and the Jet Bunnies (waitresses that served on the Playboy Jet). To become a Bunny women were first carefully chosen and selected from auditions. Then they underwent thorough and strict training before officially becoming a Bunny. Bunnies were required to be able to identify 143 brands of liquor and know how to garnish 20 cocktail variations. Dating or mingling with customers was strictly forbidden. Customers were also not allowed to touch the Bunnies, and demerits were given if a Bunny’s appearance was not properly organised. Only the C1, most important “Keyholders” (members of the Playboy Club), were allowed to date a Bunny.
Being sexy isn’t easy. Hugh is/was very picky about who wore “the bunny suit.”
Now once you’ve appeared in the magazine as a centerfold most people techincally call these women “Playboy bunnies” but this is how it all began.

What is a Playboy Playmate????
Bunnies should not be confused with “Playmates.”
The difference is:
A Playmate is a female model featured in the centerfold/gatefold of Playboy magazine as Playmate of the Month.
The PMOM’s pictorial includes nude photographs and a centerfoldposter, as well as a short biography and the “Playmate Data Sheet”, which lists her birthdate, measurements, turn-ons, and turn-offs. At the end of the year, one of the twelve Playmates of the Month is named Playmate of the Year (PMOY). Currently, Playmates of the Month are paid $25,000 USD and Playmates of the Year receive an additional $100,000 USD plus a car and a motorcycle.
Not too shabby. I’m reconsidering being a writer…..the motorcyle is tempting.
You’re considering being a Playmate?
Playboy encourages potential Playmates to send photos with “girl next door” appeal for consideration; others may submit photos of Playmate candidates, and are eligible for a $2,500 USD finder’s fee if their model is selected.

Most people don't know....

One thing remains the same: THE BUNNY
The famous logo, depicting the stylized profile of a rabbit wearing a tuxedo bow tie, was designed by art designer Art Paul for the magazine’s second issue and has appeared on every issue since. A running joke in the magazine involves hiding the logo somewhere in the cover art or photograph
Hefner said that he chose the rabbit as a mascot for its “humorous sexual connotation”, and because the image was "frisky and playful.
