A photo tour of some of the classic old motel and business signs of Colfax Avenue in Denver. Described by the NY Times as "Rocky Mountains answer to Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco and Greenwich Village in New York".
Made (in)famous by Kerouac in his Denver daze. Western ho!

Love these old signs – they are so distinctive and have such a different aesthetic from what is seen in the area today. I’m so glad some of them are still around.
