Sometimes it feels like everyone not from Boston hates Boston. I usually just dismiss it as jealousy due to our amazing sports teams, but is there something else there? Why are we so hated? Please tell me why you hate Boston. And don't hate us too much. We don't hate you (unless you're from New York and a Yankees fan, of course).
No Happy Hour
I do love Boston, but of course I don’t love everything about it. I hate that happy hour is illegal in Boston. Boo to that. But that doesn’t mean you should be hating Boston too! In fact, if you hate Boston, our no happy hour rule should make you happy. We’re not having as much fun as you.
Massholes
People call us massholes. Because we’re bad drivers. Ok, I’ll admit some of us our horrible drivers (like the person who hit me while I was standing on the sidewalk on Newbury St. the other day), but does that make us a horrible city all around??
Now that’s just mean. Plus, we don’t need Manny anyway.
The B Line
Can it BEEEEE any slower? There are a million stops, at least. My friend lived at the end of the line at Boston College and it was agony going back and forth into the city when I visited. Next time, the bike is coming with me.
No happy hour is my number one reason to hate on Boston though. ;)

I don’t get why people hate Boston. I grew up in Long Island and later in Connecticut. Always loved the Mets, therefore hated the Yankees and by transition became a Red Sox fan. My brother went to UMass in Lowell, so I spent a lot of time in and around Boston. When I took my current job in Denver, I had an offer from a company in Boston and had to flip a coin. Ultimately I want to move back to the northeast, and Boston is most definitely on my short list.
