What Is the Your Favorite Color?
Blue... no Green!
The first part of this guide is a best-of-best-of’s list that includes restaurants that have been rated the best by more than one respected critic. The second part of the guide includes the favorite restaurants of Guidespotters. If you don’t see your favorite here, add it!
To be included, a restaurant needs to be in Denver – if you add a restaurant outside of Denver, it will be removed. Please only add your most favorite restaurant, as things could get out of control if too many restaurants are added.
If your favorite restaurant has already been added, say so in a comment, and your vote will be added to the guide.
In total, six critic’s lists were used to compile this guide:

“Frank Bonanno doesn’t cook anything that’s not memorable. What’s more, he’s fearless. And Luca’s menu is designed for gluttonous abandon, arranged for wild flights of pairing and sharing, set up in an attempt to make people eat the way the Italians do—with several courses of small plates leading up to the entrees.” – Westword

“Mizuna is probably the most celebrated of all Denver restaurants. The decadent lobster mac-and-cheese is legendary and chef-owner Frank Bonanno is a local celebrity in his own right. But what makes Mizuna most special is the love and care that goes into each detail.” – 5280

“Chef Kevin Taylor earns applause for his unpretentious contemporary cuisine. Start with seared Grade A French foie gras, and then try one of the signature dishes such as butter-poached Atlantic salmon, pancetta-roasted pork loin, and Colorado lamb sirloin. Top it off with a killer dessert like caramelized pineapple Napoleon.” – Mobil Travel Guide

“Lola has oodles of pizzazz, in terms of both its art and airy design – complete with a killer patio with an indoor/outdoor bar and great city views – and the savory dishes on its menu. Start off with some guacamole, prepared fresh tableside, before moving on to a bowl of caldo, a succulent seafood stew, or grouper crusted with Brazil nuts.” – Frommer’s

“Located on the ground level of the Brown Palace Hotel (see), the majestic Palace Arms dining room has a unique Western charisma, with rich wood, brocade-upholstered seating, wood shutters, and 17th-century antiques. Just as refined as the atmosphere is the delicious International cuisine, prepared with regional accents and served with impeccable care.” – Mobil Travel Guide

“Table 6’s inviting glow continues with chef Scott Parker’s American bistro cuisine, elevated by haute foodie touches such as a roasted plum cocktail sauce for shrimp hush puppies or the chive gnocchi dumplings that come with Parker’s duck confit. Order the smoke-roasted Duxbury mussels with lemon, parsley, and tiny fries, and check out the restaurant’s website for seasonal recipes.” – 5280

A small, yet comfortable eatery, I like this place because every dish that I ever get is wonderful, the service is spot on, and I left with a happy tummy… in uptown on 17th street!

The poor staffers have to eat, too.
Wasn’t it Marie Antoinette who said, “Let them eat burritos”?

I love this restaurant. Tucked away in the highlands area, you must try it. Cozy, relaxed, and good food.

Well, I don’t know what Frommer’s or Zagat’s orrrrrr any of those special things say, BUT, I know that Chelsea of Guidespot (moi) thinks this is by far one of the best restaurants in Colorado. Sure, it isn’t diet friendly and the only way you can realllllyyy enjoy it is by allowing yourself a four hour lunch, dessert and VINO included. Order the grilled artichoke and Burata to start. Perfection.

A casual little eatery with a delightful owner named Art. I adore the Pud Thai (make it hot) and the egg rolls.

Vesta is always on the top ten list in Denver since it’s conception, and perfect for a date night. Even though your entree is already exploding with flavor, you get 3 sauces to ‘dip’ in, (hence the name!) to add some variety. Go with the chef’s recommendations or choose from a list of over 30. Staff is super nice and the house made sangria is divine! My favorties include the scallop salad, venison, duck taquitos and whatever the special is! Love it!
