Information provided by "The Center" 2007 marks the 32nd annual PrideFest in Civic Center Park downtown. Recognized as one of the top ten pride events in the country, Denver’s PrideFest is a celebration of community and culture. Produced by the Gay Lesbian Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of Colorado and attended by more than 200,000 people from Colorado and surrounding areas, the Denver PrideFest has grown from a small gathering to a major statement of pride, freedom and justice for all people! Whether you come to enjoy the parade, the rally, the music, or the entertainment and food, or just to share the ambiance of a great community, PrideFest is well worth the visit! PrideFest 2007 will again be a two day event, featuring the festival, family field day, activities for kids, main stage entertainment, and a dance stage on Saturday, June 23rd. Sunday morning includes the PrideFest parade beginning at 9.30am, marching down Colfax Avenue with floats from sponsors, churches, non profits, local businesses, organizations, and politicians. The Festival in Civic Center Park continues following the parade. The 2007 Pride festival has something for almost everyone, including a Dance Stage with DJs, a Community Stage & Main Stage with live entertainment, and plenty of commraderie, fun and celebration all weekend long. There will again be vendor booths including food, art, children's activities, social causes, welcoming and affirming religious organizations and health awareness. "The Center" organizes this annual event and provides a VIP area with food and drinks for sponsors and contributors to relas and enjoy. PrideFest is a growing event celebrating our heritage, heroes, community, friends and family. The Center proudly invites you to join the excitement. The 2007 event takes place June 23rd and 24th in Civic Center Park, Colfax and Broadway. Come show your pride!
