Denver Makes a Mean Sandwich

Ok, I’ll admit I’m not a cheeseteak afficionado, and Denver Ted’s was actually the first I had. But not the last. Still one of my favorite spots for a cheeseteak. I like Denver Ted’s beacuse they deliver, the sandwiches are juicy and I can get provolone rather than cheeze whiz (don’t send hate mail.) Onions and green peppers top off this delicious sammy.

Panini heaven! Sandwiches are always better when warm in my book, and I love the Spicy Pickle’s options, locations, and, of course, pickles served with their sandwiches!

I think these guys are pretty proud of their sandwiches, hence the name. But with fresh focaccia bread, banana peppers, potato chips and a wide variety of meats and veggies, you’re bound to find a sandwich you love. I love black olives, so I love the Earl.

I had never heard of a restaurant with so many accolades and fans! But take one bite and you’ll be a full fledged addict too. Favorites include the Prime Rib Sammy or evena simple turkey and swiss. Snarfs professionals getting ‘everything’ on your sandwich….a mix of condiments, peppers, etc to add extra flavor to the toasted bun and fresh meats. I’m getting hungry!

Grilled Cheese has got to be one American’s favorite sandwiches, not to mention comfort foods around. Chedd’s brought the sandwich to a whole new level of gourmet. Step inside and check the list of ingredients available to create your own gourmet grilled cheese. Think you want rye bread with muenster rather than american cheese on white? No problem. Their menu of pre-inspired options are great too. It’s hard to mess up a grilled cheese, right?

So it’s no big surprise this is the place to go for Italian goodness. Salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, meatballs…they’ve got it all. And the heartburn to go with it. Bring your tums for your tummy.

Most people head to Mad Greens for their awesome salads, but I’m a big fan of paninis, and their’s are darn good. In fact, anything flattened and warmed on a griddle is pretty good in my book. Choose from pre-designed options or build your own. Great with a cup of soup for a little dipping.

The Mexican sandwich, a torta, is just as good as the American standard, but with a flair. At Las Tortugas, the tortas are made to order, with toasted, crispy bread, a bit of refried beans and your choice of pork, chicken, bacon, veggies or a combination of all of the above. Hot, huge and satisfying, it’s torta heaven.

Steuben’s is famous for all kind of items on their menu, but one customer favorite is surely the Maine Lobster Roll. It rivals those on the coast becuase of the fresh Maine lobster they use and simple ingredients that let the Lobster do all the talking. Not cheap, but worth it as a treat when you feel like reminiscing about your trip to the Cape.
