The Hall of Fame
It’s a strange thing. A museum, usually in a small out-of-the-way place, that celebrates something so specific that it is of almost no interest to the general public. There are hundreds of them across the country. Here are some of the best and worst.
751 Erieside Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114
The best thing about Cleveland. It houses an enormous collection of Rock and Roll memorabila. It’s like going to the world’s largest Hard Rock Cafe, without the crappy $12 burgers.

Smaller and decidedly crappier than the Rock and Roll Hall of fame this little museum in Burns Tennesee is devoted to the early artists of Sun Records. A good place to stop if you want a Jerry Lee Lewis T-shirt.

It’s actually just a bar, but what a great name.

If you are a fan of Professional Wrestling, first off, what’s wrong with you? Secondly, you might enjoy this silly museum.

This place is actually pretty cool. It’s like a smaller version of the Smithsonian Air and Space museum. You get to see astronaut uniforms, splah-down capsules, lunar rovers. It would appeal to any 10 year old boy.

The worst thing about this place is that you have to go to Akron-Canton Ohio to see it. There are 3 types of people in Akron-Canton. People who work at a tire factory, people who used to work at a tire factory, and people who don’t have the basic skills to work in a tire factory. Depressing.

I don’t like model train enthusiasts. I find them to be sad and boring people. This is a sad and boring Hall of Fame.

A hall of fame dedicated to America’s most lasting contribution to world cusine. And they serve them at the snack bar. Cheese is 25 cents extra.

This place is an actual National Historic Landmark. As you might guess, it is a museum of blankets.

Famous chairs. Famous sofas. You get the picture. I wonder if they have the ottoman that Dick Van Dyke used to trip over all the time. That would be cool.

Some scientists say that this is the only Hall of Fame that will survive a nuclear war. I hope they are right.

This place is great because it is the home of the world’s largest statue of a Muskie, or a Northern Pike, depending on what you like to call this disturbingly ugly fish.

I love that the Polka Hall of Fame is in the same building as the Softball Hall of Fame. The two just go together so naturally. I wonder if the Foosball Hall of Fame shares space with the Blacksmithy Hall of fame. It would make just as much sense.
