People are often confused by the term custom. They often think it implies higher quality when in fact it only means “made for a specific person or purpose”. This becomes a problem when people wish to purchase new cabinets because what is marketed as “custom” is frequently inferior to cabinets that have been manufactured in a factory. Especially the finish. If I offer to build you a custom home and then proceed to build it out of popsicle sticks, that would by definition be “custom” but certainly not quality. When you shop for cabinets be sure to compare the things that matter (box construction,hardware,finish and warranty) and don’t get confused by terms.
