I'm a huge fan of all things cupcakes. When I can't be eating them, I like to read about them. And stare at them. And dream about them. Lucky for me, the Internet is full of cupcake lovers just dying to share their passion. Follow this guide to feed your cupcake hunger (without gaining a pound) and learn where all the cupcakes are hiding on the Internet.
Cupcakes Take the Cake is one of the most well-known cupcake websites on the Internet. ANYTHING you need to know about cupcakes, this site has got it. From interviews with cupcake bakers, fabulous cupcake recipes, and great cupcake merchandise, you can find it on CTTC.
Plus, the sidebar lists all the best cupcake shops in major U.S. cities.
Are you from Chicago? Planning on visiting any time soon?? If so, you really MUST do this cupcake crawl. Seriously, who needs a pub crawl when you can do it with cupcakes instead?
This crawl involves the best of the best when it comes to Chicago cupcakes.
Big winner of the Chicago cupcake crawl. Molly’s has the best of the best in Chi-town!
One of my favorite people (Amy Sedaris) doing one of my favorite things (baking cupcakes). This video is actually an ad for Microsoft Business Software, but it doesn’t even matter because it’s just so cute!
By now, this blog has way more than 52 cupcakes featured on it and that is just fine with me. The woman behind the site refers to herself as the “Cupcake Queen” and I kind of think it might be true.
It appears that she makes cupcakes by the ton!
The “Cupcake Queen” made these hamburger cupcakes. Can you say wow?! Though I might be a little confused biting into one of these. Wouldn’t stop me from doing it though.
NatalieDee is such an amazing (and humorous) artist. However, I don’t appreciate her claiming these cupcakes are poison. She just doesn’t want us to touch them!
Read all about the glorious cupcake on Wikipedia. From the history to information on recipes, they did well, but I could probably add about a million more things.
I randomly found this blog and love it because it’s written by the average girl who loves to bake cupcakes. And bake she does. She updates frequently and recently started polling her readers and will bake whatever they tell her to bake!
Who eats a cupcake with a fork? Well, I guess there are probably a million different ways to eat a cupcake. All that matters is that it gets eaten.
A fabulous Bon Appetit recipe for lemon-raspberry cupcakes made by We are not Martha.
These are such a sweet, summery treat and different from most other cupcakes!
Lemon-Raspberry cupcakes with the perfect fruity touch. Mmmm!
Oh hi, I believe this cupcake was made for me. So, everyone else…hands off! What? The people over at Crayola.com made it out of fabric? You mean to tell me that is not real frosting. Oh.
I mean, what else can I say? This website is literally “all things cupcake.” Lots of fun merchandise and accessories for cupcake lovers, and the site is pretty darn cute too. I could spend way too much time browsing around here.
I love messy cupcakes when the frosting is everywhere. Yumm!
She just started baking cupcakes for fun. And then kept baking them…and baking them…and baking them. Until she had more than enough to fill a book. Now Crazy About Cupcakes is both a super-fun website and a book.
There are way more cupcakes than I’ll ever have time to make on this site. But I’ll probably start trying anyway.
Do you really expect that anyone can make a cupcake better than Martha Stewart? I certainly don’t.
She’s got a whole section of her website devoted to cupcakes and has SO many fabulous (and sometimes way too intricate) ideas for cupcake baking.
I really believe that Martha Stewart is responsible for this entire cupcake craze. And I thank her for it everyday.
This is definitely one of the cutest ideas I’ve seen. Really, you need to make the hamburger cupcakes and serve these as well. I love the little pats of butter!
I’ve always wanted to make Martha Stewart’s hi-hat cupcakes and someday I will get around to it. Though they do involve a lot of ingredients and a ton of steps. They are just way too pretty not to make!
Another Martha Stewart original I’ve been dying to make are these ice cream cupcakes. I mean, combining cupcakes AND ice cream, how amazing is that? Again, these look a bit complicated, but I’m sure I could pull it off.
Instead of making ice cream cupcakes, you can make cupcakes in ice cream cones.
Now, that sounds like a job I can handle. Thanks to NatalieDee again.
