Take A Cool Class In San Francisco
Are you turning into one of those people who says, "It's Tuesday...Only 3 more days until Friday,"? Then it's time to spice up your week and take a fun class. Before you know it, Wednesday will morph from "hump day" to "ribbon dance day," and the week will just fly by. Don't be shy - Sign up!
TAKE A DOUBLE DUTCH CLASS
I met one of these double dutch teachers at a party recently, and have since been pining to take a class. Come on, guys – Now is your big opportunity to avenge the mean double-dutch girls from the playground who were too cool to let you take hold of the rope. Finally, you can have your moment in the double-dutch sun, but this time, without having to memorize all the words to that nursery rhyme with all of the confusing double entendres.
Here’s the final performance of a VIP double dutch session. I don’t know about you, but I’d like to learn some of Gerry Attrics’ moves immediately!

TAKE A WEEL THROWING CLASS
I took a wheel throwing class at Ruby’s in the winter, and even though the teacher was insane, and I sat next to this annoying lady who kept talking to me about how no men would ever date her in her Grover voice, I still loved it! It’s a fun way to conjure some creative energy, and in the end you’ll have a nice little change bowl for each and every one of your friends.
Here’s another place I considered for my ceramics class, until I found you have to sign up in person and wait in line at 6am months in advance for a spot. The classes are a bit cheaper, but 6am is still 6am in my book. They’ve also got a stained glass class, though, if you’re not set on ceramics.

TAKE A HULA CLASS
A lady from my work swears by her hula class. I just think it would be worth the price just to watch all of the uncomfortable people trying to seriously memorize choreography in grass skirts.
LEARN HOW TO FONDANT
Because, seriously – Who doesn’t want to know how to fondant? You can take anything from a one-time molten chocolate cake class, to a gum flower-making session, to a petit four lesson. By the end, you’ll be opening your OWN shop that sells whimsical cupcakes for $4 each and somehow magically stays in business.

HOW ABOUT A TRAPEZE CLASS?
Even though I have little chicken bone arms, I imagine that I would be instantly good at trapeze art, gracefully flipping through the air after only one class with no pain at all. Logically, I’m sure this class would result in me not being able to lift up my own purse for a week, and yet, I still want to sign up. Any takers?
Test out a single class for $40.
Come on, San Franciscans. Get off the block for a minute, and head to this, Oakland’s finest establishment.

It’s a lot harder than it looks. This baby is definitely about to break a sweat.
This was a sweet little place filled with all sorts of eccentric people who will entertain you. Definitely come in during drop-in hours to check it out, at least for a laugh.

Free bowls for all!
