Community Cooking with All-Star Chefs...and Hotties

Share on StumbleUpon Add to del.icio.us Share on Facebook

I love cooking. I love watching cooking shows and reading cookbooks. And while I'll tune into nearly everything on the Food Network (with a few clear exceptions!) and other food-related channels, I have some favorite chefs. In some cases, it's because they're hot. In others, I just love the chef and the food they cook up.

Who are your favorite celebrity chefs? And why do you love them so? Are you drooling over the food they're cooking or are you actually drooling over them??

Chris Kimball

Ok so he’s clearly not a hottie (unless you’re into the whole bowtie, stern look), but he’s an amazing cook and a huge perfectionist. And I love that!

I tune into America’s Test Kitchen whenever I can and am a huge fan of his Cook’s Illustrated magazine. Also, one time in grad school I wrote a paper about Chris Kimball and he did a 30 minute phone interview with me. I think that says a lot about the man!

Curtis Stone

Feel free to stop me in the grocery store and ask if you can come home with me, Curtis Stone. See, that’s what Curtis does on his show Take Home Chef. He finds women in the grocery store, goes home with them, and helps them back a fabulous dinner.

The women are usually completely dumb when it comes to all things culinary, but hey, I can pretend.

Take Home Chef in action

This woman is pretty psyched that Curtis found her in the grocery store. Wouldn’t you be too?

PAULA DEEN

As much as I lvoe my own Mother, I seriously may trade is Paula Deen would adopt me. Sure Paula doesn’t cook according to “health” but she DOES cook according to taste. If that means four sticks of butter in one slice of pie, then so be it.

Paula Deen's Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding Recipe

I mean, right??? Bread pudding, one of the unhealthiest desserts period, and made with donuts! I’m all for healthy cooking, but Paula Deen has such spunk and she clearly LOVES to cook, loves the process, loves cooking FOR people. Like Chelsea said, even with all those sticks of butter, it’s kind of the thought that counts.

I heart Giada

She’s down-to-earth, and her food is delicious and simple to make—I once had a dinner party and everything I made was from her cookbooks. And, as an added bonus, whenever I tune in I get to see what she’s wearing. Love her!

Jamie Oliver

I’ve been in love with Jamie ever since he first appeared on the Food Network. I went to a book signing once and I took a picture with him—I almost died! I was like OMG, I am touching the Naked Chef. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that his food is fresh, easy to make, super tasty, and down right pretty.
