There are two ways to interact via commenting on a guide, and here is what we renamed them. We renamed them with basic names to help current users and new users understand these awesome features:
1. Commenting Within a Guide: You can make a comment within a guide, on an individual guide element. The author can control if the guide shows initially with expanded or collapsed in-guide comments. As a user, you can also click on or off the option to have in-guide comments collapsed or expanded.
2. Discussing a Guide: You can discuss an entire guide, and interact with other authors by replying to their discussion points. Most users like to utilize the discussion tool to chat about the guide in its entirety, or give general input.
Users now have the option to expand or collapse the Comments within a guide, based on their preference.

Ellies
Since we are commenting on individual "elements" how about shortening the word “elements” to “ellies” or “elly”
Letting The Thoughts Flow...
Snips, Snippets, Sniplets, Cliplets, Clippets, Clips, Feedlets, Responselets, Re-spots, G-clips, Friedlets, Alexicons, G-snips, Backlets, Reciprocicons, Troll Bait
some more names....
I like chatter and g-post and gsprout from the list above.
some new name ideas:
glurb (blurb + guide), blurb, g-mini, bits, (it’s a shame gchat is taken), g-note
I don’t know about you guys, but I think having “comment” on there makes some good sense— why not change the name of the old comment function? Maybe change the old comment function to something like “write a note” (ala Alexis’s suggestion) “review this guide,” etc… I totally just avoided the whole question didn’t I?
