Don't kill me. We haven't even made it to Thanksgiving yet, and here I am, thowing Christmas in everyone's faces, right? But it's not too early to get a jump on gift-giving, and chances are your really proactive Mom has already even started to shop. It's worth it to make your Christmas wishes known now, before it's too late. So, if you had Santa's ear, what would you ask him for?

A gift certificate to my favorite salon

I’m pretty low-maintenance, and my eyebrow waxes every other week aren’t budget busting. But one thing I’m dreaming about it getting my hair professionally straightened again — a process that costs around $400. Gift certificates would REALLY help to offset some of this extreme(and horribly indulgent) expense!

This great everyday bag

I have a large tote for work. And since I hate most “purses” (too big, too small, too ugly, too annoying), I’m still stuck juggling my wallet and keys and phone when I go our or when I’m doing errands.

But I finally found the perfect bag — this little (but not too little) pouch by Etsy seller Morelle. And I’d like to have it, please.

This lamp

I can be impulsive. If I need something, I tend to want it right away, and my impatience sometimes results in buyers regret two months later, when I end up hating whatever it was that I bought.

But I promise that won’t happen with this Phantom table lamp from CB2. It’s been on my radar screen for months now, and I keep thinking about it and thinking about it. When I saw a similar one in a home recently, I knew I had to have it. So, there. I want it.

Joe Strummer's First Solo Album

Released in 1989 and sold a whopping 10,000 units worldwide (compared to Combat Rock, which sold 5 million), it wasn’t his best effort. But I need to complete the Strummer collection.

There are some used copies out there for about $50.
