Face peels are meant to diminish imperfections by peeling away the skin’s top layers. Peeling involves applying a chemical solution to treatment areas. For example, the fine wrinkles around your lips can sometimes be improved with a specially formulated facial peel. A face peel removes dead skin cells to allow skin cells to regenerate. Facial peeling may be done as an isolated procedure, or it may be used as an indispensable add-on to other facial procedures. Face peels vary according to their specific ingredients and their strength. Depth of peeling also depends on how long the solution remains on the skin and on how vigorously the solution is applied.

Marietta is a city located in central Cobb County, GeorgiaGR6, and is its county seat. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 58,748, making it one of metro Atlanta's largest suburbs. Census Estimates of 2004 indicate a population of 60,547.Southern Polytechnic State University, Chattahoochee Technical College and Life University are located here, and the city operates its own school district, separate from the county. Dobbins Air Reserve Base is on the south side of town, separated from SPSU by a Lockheed-Martin manufacturing plant. The major local landmark in Marietta is the Big Chicken, a large, metal, animated chicken structure atop what is now a Kentucky Fried Chicken, located east of downtown at the city's busiest intersection. Even as the city has become more urbanized, locals still give directions by referencing it.The school district, Marietta City Schools, is one of the smallest in Metro Atlanta, operating only one high school, Marietta High School, one middle school, Marietta Middle School, and several elementary schools. Many, such as Marietta High School, and A.L. Buruss are Georgia Schools of Excellence. The city also operates Marietta Power under the auspices of the Board of Lights & Water (BLW). The BLW is also party to the Cobb-Marietta Water Authority. The city formerly operated Marietta FiberNet, a fiber optic network, but was forced to sell the network to American Fiber Systems after substantial losses.Downtown Marietta features Glover Park, the historic town square and former location of the county courthouse. The Strand Theatre on the square is being renovated back to its original design. The Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum, also called "Scarlett On the Square," houses one of the world's most extensive collections of memorabilia related to both the book and the film. The CSX trains between Atlanta and Chattanooga (Western & Atlantic Subdivision) still run a block west of the town square, past the train depot (now the visitor center) and the Kennesaw House, one of only two buildings in Marietta not burned to the ground in Sherman's March to the Sea.Marietta's sister cities are Heredia, Costa Rica and Linz am Rhein, Germany. The city's official website is located at http://www.city.marietta.ga.us.

VI Peel frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Q. How would the VI Peel compare to the Obagi Blue Peel or a TCA Peel?
A. Unlike those peels, the Vi Peel requires no oral or IV sedation to avoid pain. The VI peel is almost painless, and requires no skin pre conditioning required by those peels when used on skin types 4 to 6.

Q. How many peels can you do and how far apart should they be done?

A. The frequency of the peel depends on various factors, and will be determined by your skin specialist. For extremely damaged skin, the VI Peel can initially be done once a month to get quicker desired results.

Q. How is the Vi Peel different from other peels?
A. Without exception, obsolete peels of the past epitomize the “No pain, no gain” approach to skin care. Before the Vi Peel the deeper the peel, the more painful, the more downtime, the better the results. The VI Peel is the first peel to combine the strongest and most effective acids, yet it’s virtually painless with little downtime.

Q. How many treatments are required to show an improved look?
A. A single Vi Peel will achieve significant repair and add a healthy glow to the skin. Some conditions like acne scars, pore enlargement and hyper pigmentation might require multiple applications. It is a restorative and painless repair of damaged skin, including sun damage and acne. Best of all, it is a true aging preventive for younger skin with no visible damage.

Q. What types of skin respond well to the Vi Peel?
A. The many innovations that created the Vi Peel combine to allow ALL skin types to enjoy the benefits of the peel. For the first time, darker skin type patients can experience anti-aging and restorative skin repair previously unavailable.

Q. How much preconditioning of the skin is required?
A. The Vi Peel requires no preconditioning of the skin associated with older generation peels that can take three to five months.

Q. What will the Vi Peel do for my skin?
A. It tackles skin problems at the cellular level rather than just burning skin off. Thanks to the concerted actions of its many acids and vitamins, it will help erase fine lines and wrinkles, shrink enlarged pores and build collagen and elastin which tighten skin. It is extremely effective in reducing or eliminating hyper pigmentation including melasma, the most difficult pigmentation issue to correct. The Vi Peel also provides excellent results for acne.

Q. Are teenage acne sufferers too young for the Vi Peel and would it help their acne?
A. Dr. Kalil originally formulated the Vi Peel for his fifteen year old daughter, an acne sufferer. The peel is excellent for both adult and adolescent acne. We have effectively peeled acne patients as young as twelve years old. Results are quick and very impressive. Combined with a daily skin regimen, almost all acne cases can be successfully managed. Your provider has access to advanced protocols. Please note that treating acne scars will require a series of peels.
