Turn Up the Heat: Hot Men in the Kitchen!

-621143028

What's better than a hot man? A hot man who can cook, of course! With the recent celebrity chef craze, there are more hot chefs than ever and it's easy for you to find them. Just turn on your TV, go to your nearest bookstore, or surf the internet. Or just stare at this guide for a few minutes. That should give you your fill. Here are the hottest of the hottest. And the hottest of the not so traditionally hot. Not only will they cook you up an amazing meal, they'll look good while they're doing it. Who could ask for more?

Curtis Stone

Widget_clh7kbp65obrynbyktcwuy

Curtis Stone is of “Take Home Chef” fame, a show with a fabulous concept. Curtis travels to various grocery stores, finds unsuspecting females, and insists on going back to said female’s homes with them (I KNOW, it sounds scandalous, but I swear it’s not). The females are usually married and attempting to cook something for their husbands. They’re also quite usually cooking inept.

Aussie hottie Curtis stocks up their grocery carts, pays for the groceries, and cooks the meal. There is tons of uncomfortable moments in the show being that the females are generally married, but tend to get absolutely giddy and giggly around Curtis. There are also lots of awkward moments when the wives have to lie to their husbands in order to make sure they don’t come home while Travis is still cooking.

I don’t know. How would you feel, as a man, if you came home from work to find a hot Australian man had been in the kitchen with your wife all day. And cooked dinner for the two of you. Because she couldn’t. Oh well, no woman could turn Curtis Stone down.

Take Home Chef with Curtis Stone

Watch Curtis Stone sneak up on an unsuspecting lady at the grocery store. Before he goes back to her place. He’s one smooth man. And Curtis may be the only man with an accent that I find extremely hot.

Curtis will serve up dinner for you AND your man. But he always leaves at the end of the evening. Sigh. I think most women would trade in their husbands for Curtis Stone!

Dave Lieberman

Widget_ai__m3ex1cfykqgtdshddf

Dave is one of the most unsung of the Food Network stars. Why? I have noo idea. I think we just need to give him a bit more time before everyone is talking about him. Dave has the show “Good Deal with Dave Lieberman,” in which he teaches us normal people who aren’t rich how to cook and eat like we are. How could you not love that??

And it’s not like he teaches you how to be cheap or how to cut corners (we’re not talking about Sandra Lee here). He teaches you how to have the best of everything without spending an insane amount. He always keeps it classy.

Dave Lieberman Makes Sweet Potato Pie

Dave makes one of my favorite foods ever, sweet potato pie. And he looks adorable while doing so. Also, I’m a big fan of his kitchen. But it does sound like he has some family issues judging from how he pounds the crust and chuckles uncomfortably about getting his aggression out.

Next time I make sweet potato pie, I am so putting brown sugar on top. Thanks, Dave!

A man who will cook for you AND save you money? Maybe with that money he will buy you fancy jewelry and nice cars. Hey, you can dream!

Rocco DiSpirito

Widget_asj3shsojazo33jxn8d1oh

You may already know Rocco DiSpirito from his old reality television show, The Restaurant, where he pretty much seemed like a huge asshole. But I’m pretty sure that was all an act and that he’s really a super nice guy. Or that’s what I want to believe at least.

Rocco now has a show on A&E called “Rocco Gets Real” where he helps people and families put good food on their tables. Kind of in “Take Home Chef” fashion, but a bit less creepy. In addition, Rocco has written a ton of excellent cookbooks.

You might have also seen Rocco on the 7th season of “Dancing with the Stars,” where I soo wanted him to win. Unfortunately he didn’t, but it was fabulous to see Rocco on reality TV once again!

Rocco Gets Real

The series trailer to Rocco Gets Real. This will make you want to tune into A&E immediately…a station that you otherwise probably never even go to. Am I right?

Widget_a01vvp6g5iwqlrq0vbnjlx

Rocco is getting real. But I’d rather he just made this meal for me instead of showing me how.

Bobby Flay

Widget_a--g0xqofozpqdvqhfn-uj

Bobby Flay is also known as one of my favorite people ever. He is just way too easy to like (though a bit too old for me). Bobby actually dropped out of high school at age 17, proving that you don’t need to be a high school grad to be extremely successful in the kitchen!

He’s got quite a few shows on the Food Network, most of them involving the good old grill. His most popular (I think) show are “Boy Meets Grill,” “BBQ with Bobby Flay,” and, of course, “Throwdown! With Bobby Flay” In Throwdown, Bobby finds the best of a particular type of food and challenges its maker. I’m not a huge fan of Throwdown because I think it makes Bobby look extremely conceited, thinking he can make the best of everything. But then, I think he is a little full of himself. And I probably would be too if I were him.

I LOVE watching the episodes of Iron Chef that Bobby Flay is on, and that’s a lot of them because everyone wants to compete against him.

He has tons of really good, informative cookbooks too.

Bobby also has a bunch of restaurants that I am dying to go try. These include a bunch of Mesa Grills and Bar Americain. I’m sure the food is ridiculously good. As you can see, I’m pretty much obsessed with Bobby Flay!

Bobby Flay on Boy Meets Grill

I don’t even use a grill (ever), but I would watch Bobby Flay and his grilling shows all day long. Plus, he’s making acorn squash, which is another one of my absolute favorite foods.

Widget_axwr6w8afi07jwof-drq-t

What’chu making in that blender, Bobby? Can I have some??

Jamie Oliver

Widget_dyeklz80zk55rtxymbaocy

Another man with an accent who I do not mind. You may know Jamie Oliver as the Naked Chef. That’s because this is what his first television show was called. No, Jamie wasn’t actually naked in the show. His food was just simple and natural, naked if you will.

After “The Naked Chef”, Jamie created a lot of mini series, and even has his own videogame that he narrates. Jamie’s cookbooks are some of the best and it seems like he is always coming out with new ones.

Sometimes Jamie’s recipes are a bit tough to understand since he’s always talking in British slang and using European measurements, but it’s worth following along with him for his delicious food!

Jamie Oliver Transforming School Food

Jamie is also on a quest to get rid of unhealthy food in UK school’s cafeterias. This has caused a bit of an uproar around England with people becoming extremely angry with Jamie. But, I think it’s a fabulous thing!

He just wants their food to be a bit more naked!

Widget_alplzsjhviw6qoqtw18gf-

I know you’re disappointed Jamie isn’t really naked, aren’t you?

Danny Boome

Widget_dfj9ma3edggbytyawdbzsa

I don’t know Danny Boome very well, but hiii why not?? Look at the man! Of course, he is a hockey player, which loses him a few points. But he can cook, so all is made up!

Danny is in another sort of “Take Home Chef” take-off where he goes to various homes around America and helps people cook. Yes, it’s true, they make sure they always have the attractive men going house to house.

So now, Danny is a top chef with his own TV show and is also still playing professional hockey. Oh, and he also won a national modeling competition and works with and appears in Uncle Ben commercials. Busy life, huh?

Danny Boome on Rescue Chef

Watch as Danny Boome tries to rescue a woman in need of some kitchen help! Would you let him in your house? At least he’s not creeping up on you in the grocery store like Curtis Stone!

Widget_ceqyzc0mxcji0lacbpliyp

Hello, Danny Boome. I heard you were a model, yes? What can’t you do?

Daniel Boulud Introduces Gavin Kaysen

Daniel Boulus introduces Gavin Kaysen as the new head chef of his restaurant Cafe Boulud. Imagine having Daniel Boulud say these nice things about you? What a huge honor for Gavin! Who cares that he lost “The Next Iron Chef.”

Gavin Kaysen

Widget_d6xk4ftmdmg5cp6pbdydbs

All I know is that I saw Gavin Kaysen on the first couple episodes of “The Next Iron Chef” and figured he really needs to be included on a hot chefs guide. He got kicked out fairly early on, which was too bad for the show’s ratings, I’m sure.

Gavin is currently the head chef at Cafe Boulud in New York City, which is one of the famous Daniel Boulud’s restaurants. In 2007 he was named one of the top 10 best new chefs by Food & Wine Magazine, a pretty huge accomplishment!

Tyler Florence

Widget_d8euq1r-xo2bssbbk2wqr2

One of Tyler’s first shows was also Take Home Chef-ish. In “Food 911,” Tyler went from home to home, helping people out with their kitchen emergencies. He also had a show for beginner cooks called “How to Boil Water.”

Tyler currently hosts “Tyler’s Ultimate,” which is, of course, on the Food Network, and a show where he takes a specific dish and makes the best possible version.

Tyler lost a few points with lots of people when he started doing Applebees commercials. Come on, do you know anyone anywhere who actually likes Applebees?? NO. But I can forgive him because he’s just so darn cute.

Tyler Florence on Tyler's Ultimate

Tyler shows you how to make the ultimate stuffed potatoes. And they involve bacon, so yes please. There’s also broccoli to make it healthy. Wins all around!

Widget_ct3rhztz5fxid0zmhfqdwc

What will Tyler make with those root veggies there? Probably something that can only be described as “fantastic” or “ultimate.”

Michael Chiarello

Widget_ceardr5mtei7aeofww0scp

Michael Chiarello is another one of the unsung heroes of the Food Network. Why doesn’t everyone talk about him and his amazingness? I do not understand.

On the Food Network, Michael hosts “Easy Entertaining with Michael Chiarello” and on the Fine Living Channel, he hosts “NapaStyle.” Another fabulous thing about Michael Chiarello? He owns his own winery. Score!

I just think the man is extremely entertaining, down to earth, and fun. What’s not to love? Come on Food Network, give the man some more shows! Or at least some more exposure!

Michael Chiarello in Easy Entertaining with Michael Chiarello

This sandwich literally made me drool. Must. Have. Now. How amazing does this look? And you can really get a good luck at how personable Michael is!

Widget_dqxez3wivew4z9l9ftaiwh

Michael Chiarello smiles pretty much the entire time he’s cooking all of his amazing food. His awesome personality makes the girls go crazy!

The Not-So-Typical Hot Chefs

These men might not be traditional “hotties.” They’re a bit older than the typical hot chef, but these guys have girls of all ages going absolutely crazy for them. I’ll tell you why.

Gordon Ramsay

Widget_akpr0_2zfpd4zy_08lmfp6

You likely know Gordon Ramsay from the reality television show “Hell’s Kitchen,” or his other show, “Kitchen Nightmares.” If you watch these shows, you’ll know how much of a perfectionist UK’s Ramsay is and how he tends to blow up if people aren’t working up to his standards. Um, I don’t think I could handle him as my boss. But who doesn’t love a strong man who knows what he wants? Lots of girls are highly attracted to Ramsay, though he’s not the typical hottie.

Gordon also has a whole bunch of restaurants all around the world. He’s been involved in a bunch of controversy (ooh, bad boy), including making a claim that women can’t cook to save their lives. Umm. But he made up for that when he assigned a female head chef at one of his top-rated restaurants.

Gordon Ramsay Flipping Out at Everyone

Gordon’s show “Hell’s Kitchen” is basically a series of “bleeps” as he yells and swears at all of his contestants. Yikes.

Alton Brown

Widget_cx_dwq94fguohung4vplz5

Is there anyone better than this man? Alton Brown thinks of himself as the cook for geeks, but really, he’s the cook for anyone who actually cares about learning about cooking.

Anyone can follow a recipe, but do you actually know why you’re taking the steps you are? Alton will tell you. He actually looks at the science behind cooking and without a doubt, Alton will make you a better cook. He also has an awesome sense of humor and makes pretty much everything he does fun and funny. Love the man!

He is the fabulous host of “Iron Chef America” (one of the only reasons to watch the show if Bobby Flay isn’t competing) and also has a Food Network show called “Good Eats,” where he gets into deep detail about all the food he makes. You WILL feel smarter after watching Alton Brown!

Alton Brown on Good Eats

Alton teaches you all about melting cheese. What? It’s sooo interesting, I swear. You’ve never realized how totally cool melting cheese is until watching this episode that Alton calls, “For Whom the Cheese Melts.”

Widget_bx9tdw_c1gnjdq_uciedhk

Alton can turn us all into cooking geeks! And I mean that in the best way possible.

Anthony Bourdain

Widget_aah6a8tkjovkrvjiog98dg

The ladies love Anthony Bourdain. LOVE him. The 52-year-old often known as Tony, is best known for his Travel Channel show, “No Reservations,” but also for his book “Kitchen Confidential.”

On his show, Tony travels around the world learning about different cultures and eating various exotic foods, i.e. sheep testicles in Morocco. Hey, who wouldn’t want to watch that, right? He’s well loved for his dry sense of humor and snarky insults. In 2001, Tony was named Food Writer of the Year by Bon Appetit magazine, for his amazing book, “Kitchen Confidential.”

Anthony Bourdain in No Reservations

Anthony visits Laos and samples some buffalo skin and ant egg. What hasn’t this man eaten??

Michael Ruhlman

Widget_am2stqmojon4gn3gwb3nva

Michael Ruhlman is basically one of my favorite people in the world. I’m a huge fan of his books and an avid reader of his blog. Ruhlman went to the Culinary Institute of America in order to write his book, “The Making of a Chef” and basically fell in love with the school and everything about cooking. The book is a fabulous look into his transformation into a chef. He also has two follow-up books called “The Soul of a Chef” and “The Reach of a Chef.”

His blog is both extremely informative and entertaining. He and Anthony Bourdain are good friends and participate in a lot of back and forth friendly banter within their blog posts.

I have no idea why Michael doesn’t have his own television show yet, but somebody really needs to give him one. I know A LOT of people would be watching it. Ruhlman did participate as a judge on “The Next Iron Chef,” which was fabulous, but we want more!

Interview with Michael Ruhlman

A fabulous interview with Michael Ruhlman.

“Everyone can be a chef. Not everyone can be a great cook.” True that.

This is like really great porn to me. THANK YOU.

Ahhhhhhhhhh! Susie! I heart this guide. I am way, WAY into Jamie Oliver, and I so love Gordan Ramsay. I’m on the fence about Michael Chiarello, though…yeah, he’s a great cook, and I sure would love his life in Napa. But he doesn’t do it for me. I guess I need my cooks blonde, rugged, and English. ;)
