Boston is the heart of Massachusetts, but most of us who live here now weren't born and raised here. Where did you come from and what do you love most about your hometown? And what made you get out and go to the big city?

I was born and raised in good old Andover. It was a fabulous town to grow up in since the school system is so good and the town has lots of money for activities. But some Andover-ites are super snobby and give the rest of us a bad name.

I can see myself raising my kids in Andover some day, but hopefully it doesn’t keep getting more ritzy or a) I won’t be able to afford it and b) I won’t be able to stand any of the people there.

I enjoy Andover for its stellar school system and pretty high school with all of its tons of resources.

I also love Andover’s festivity and the fact that they still hold parades.

Phillips Academy Andover

I don’t love that when I tell people I’m from Andover, they automatically assume I went to Phillips Academy. I did not.

Huge Andover Houses

I do not enjoy the fact that most Andover residents live in huge houses that are much too big for their families. Because they love to show off their money.
