Liberty Hotel is the ideal spot for a New Year’s party because of all the various options they offer. They have a bunch of different price options; some include a full buffet meal, some 6 drinks, some 4. So, you can easily choose the option that makes the most sense to you and your bank account. But remember, drinks at Liberty are generally pretty expensive, so you might be doing well to get a package that includes more drinks. Or just drink a lot before you get there. Whatever works for you.

The Liberty Hotel is awesomely beautiful and used to be an old prison. So, they have lots of cute little bar and restaurant areas. Even if you don’t come here on NYE, you should stop by another time. Clink and Scampo are upscale, delicious restaurants. And Alibi is a bar-area that always seems to be a good time.

Ahhh, First Night. How I do not desire to attend you. BUT this might be the perfect Boston New Year’s option for some people. I don’t like it because I have no urges to walk around in the freezing cold to see little performances and ice sculptures. But when I was a kid, I probably would have thoroughly enjoyed the events of First Night’s and it is a fantastic option for families. And for people who have no desire to go to a big party where lots of people are getting drunk. And when you go to First Night, you don’t even have to dress up…unless you consider wearing as many layers as possible dressing up.

So, you’re dying to go to a good New Year’s party but you’re a little bit older? Maybe you want to party hard, but not with a bunch of 20-somethings who are binge drinking and grinding up on each other, right? Well the, the Hyatt Regency’s party is perfect for you.

This 40+ NYE party lets you choose from several different options, including an all-inclusive dinner option. And don’t worry about having to listen to any crazy hip-hop music all night long; Boston’s The Love Dogs will be performing, and a DJ will be playing everything from Swing, Motown, 70s, 80s, 90s, and more.

The event also includes party favors, gift bags, and a silent auction.

Just because you’re not 20-something, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go out and celebrate the new year!

The Westin has long been known for their New Year’s Eve Resolution Ball. I believe it’s Boston’s longest running New Year’s party, which I guess makes it pretty cool. And it’s generally filled with the best of Boston’s young professionals, though they’ll have to compete with Liberty Hotel this year.

You can choose between various party options, including an all-inclusive dinner, as well as a reception with hors d’oeuvres and various options will allow you different amounts of drinks from the bar. The entertainment includes DJ Sammy L and the Felix Brown Band.

The Grand Ballroom at the Westin is extremely glamourous and beautiful, so this promises to be a NYE you’ll always remember.

I’ve never been to District, but I hear their New Year’s parties rock. And this past year, it was awarded “trendiest bar” by WBZ’s A-list.

This year’s NYE theme at District is “Out with the OLD, in with the NEW Hollywood” and is for all you Bostonians who would really prefer to be celebrating in the land of celebrity. District will be rolling out the red carpet, literally, and have hired a Joan Rivers impersonator to take photos for you and your friends (and maybe even comment on your outfits…so be careful what you wear!). Oh, and obviously there will be paparazzi photags all around catching your every move.

The ticket to District’s party is only $65 and includes one cocktail, hors d’ oeuvres, live entertainment, and a raffle to win a trip to Hollywood…the real one!

Or you could always spring for the A-List celeb VIP package, which includes VIP line privileges, a personal server to serve your bottle of Moet, and more. It will cost you $1,000, but is meant for 8 people. When you break that down, it’s actually a really good deal for New Year’s Eve.

Mantra’s party isn’t going to take you to any exotic locations, but it still promises to be a fabulous way to end the year.

They also have several different ticketing levels, so you can spend what you want to spend. It’s only $60 for general admission, but if you can get a group of 4 together, for only $100 each, your ticket is VIP and includes a bottle of champagne.

They are also advertising that they have will be having “live dancers over water.” I have absolutely no idea what that means, but I feel like the price of admission is almost worth it just to see that. They’ll also have a live percussionist, and lights show.

So, you wanted to go to Texas for the new year this year? Well, don’t bother because Texas is coming here to Boston, at the Revolution Rock Bar. The title of their party is Cowboy Up Cowgirls Down New Year’s Eve so yee-haw!

This party promises to have an interesting crowd, considering the dress code states “Western style or your best NYE attire.” So, does that mean half the people will be wearing overalls and cowboy hats and half will be wearing formal black dresses? I would love to get some pictures of this celebration.

The party includes bull riding, pin the tail on the donkey, and a Southern BBQ with wings, burgers, steak tips, and more.

And the music will be fabulous as well. I’m a fan of Revolution’s DJ Rick Rude and his awesome mashups. Now, if only the staff at Revolution were a little bit nicer; I’ve never had very good experiences with them. But hopefully everyone will be in a happy, upbeat New Year’s mood. Giddyup.

Vinalia is an extremely budget-friendly (but still glamorous and fun) New Year’s Eve option. General admission to the party is only $45 and includes a champagne toast. But of course, if you want to pay more, you can get more.

For only $65 you can be VIP, and get the champagne toast, as well as admission to the Red Bull cocktail and app reception(not certain what that means, but it sounds pretty fabulous). Or you can even reserve private couches and tables if you have a small group and the prices still work out to be extremely reasonable (and some even involve bottles of champagne!).

The dress code is stated to be sexy and stylish. As if you would ever leave your house not looking sexy and stylish. Duh.

Rumor’s New Year’s Eve party is in South Beach this year. Well, it’s not really in South Beach, it’s in Boston. But you’ll fell like you’re in South Beach if you attend. The waitresses will be wearing bikinis and serving cocktails and the decor will be Miami styled.

You can help make this party feel a little more beach-y by making sure you wear your favorite sundress or white suit (um, do you own a white suit?). This party is ideal for those of you who are longing for summer to come back and want to get a glimpse of it again for an evening. Just be prepared for stepping into the cold, snowy weather on your way home and freezing your butt off in a sundress.

The tickets are only $75/person or you can purchase the 8-person package for $800. Not bad at all for an evening on the beach! All tickets include a complimentary mojito. Ahh how I miss mojitos. I hope they have the heat turned up in there!

Or maybe you want to go to Vegas for New Year’s Eve. Think about what an awesome time that would be! Venu’s Vegas party includes showgirls, casino games, an actual Vegas-like buffet, and wait for this….an Elvis impersonator! Yesss.

To gain admission to “the strip” only costs $65 and includes 1 cocktail and 4 DJs (huh? Who needs 4 DJs?? That’s craziness!). Or you can purchase the “Jackpot VIP” package or $650. It includes admission for 8 people, a VIP host, and special table service.

Venu wants you to dress “Vegas Style,” so that means you need to be looking hot. Which you always are anyway, so that shouldn’t be a problem. Anyway, hellooo, you could get your picture taken with Elvis!!
