I'm sort of obsessed with tacos (along with pizza and ice cream), and in a place like LA there are infinite options when it comes to eating those delicious tortilla parcels. So, I wanna know where you've had awesome tacos in Los Angeles. I'm kicking off the list with some joints that aren't necessarily the most authentic places, but they deserve some mention nonetheless.

Hugo's Taco

4749 Coldwater Canyon Ave, Studio City, CA 91604

Now this place isn’t traditional, but they have some seriously tasty tacos. The soy chorizo tacos with honey chipotle salsa are DELICIOUS. And unless you’re masochistic I suggest washing it down with some of their watermelon agua fresca. I have dreams about this stuff.

Yum, yum, and yum.

Poquito Mas

3701 Cahuenga Blvd Ste 1, Studio City, CA 91604

You may scoff at the fact that I’m putting a chain on here, but the truth is these tacos are pretty darn good —way better than fellow chains like La Salsa or Baja Fresh. And since you can’t always run to East LA, Poquito Mas makes the list.

El Toro Cantina's

5364 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036

So, the tacos here are pretty pricey and not actually that good, but I did have a tuna tartare taco here: sushi + tacos? Can’t pass that up.

King Taco ***El Guapo recommended***

but take it from the dude with the Mexican sounding name: King Taco is best taco in LA.  Yeah, they’re a chain…but honestly, you can’t beat their carne asada with onions and cilantro…muy bueno.

If only they had this on t-shirts…

Malibu Fish & Seafood Inc

25653 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265

Malibu Seafood has some of the tastiest and freshest seafood around, so it would only make sense that they’d have some pretty sweet fish tacos. While this isn’t an authentic Mexican place per se, the whole fresh fish factor (the place is like 45 feet away from the Pacific Ocean), makes it worthy of mention.

Henry's Tacos

11401 Moorpark St, North Hollywood, CA 91602

When you drive by it may look like this is somewhere you’d only visit if you had one too many to drink, but don’t be fooled Henry’s has your standard DELICIOUS tacos….plus, I’ve heard Mary-Kate and Ashley go there. Ya know, when they eat.

Met up with some Guidespotters in Seattle the other day and they said something about a new taco truck around Fremont… never even tried anything from a taco truck before, so I am interested on getting in on this!
