Who is Your Favorite Comedian?

Mitch Hedberg

I put Mitch Hedberg’s most recent album on my iPod and listened to it while I was walking my dog. I got a lot of strange looks because only a few minutes into it I was laughing to the point I was crying. Mitch’s jokes are hilarious and smart even though they sometimes come across as patently dumb. Most people couldn’t pull off his non-sequitur delivery, but it works perfectly for him.

He died in 2005 :(

Patton Oswalt

He doesn’t look like much, especially when you realize how sadly short he is, but damn is Patton Oswalt funny. So much more than the voice of Ratatouille (how did he get that gig?), his geeky demeanor is only a jumping off point for humor that’s relatable and so funny.

Louis CK

Though he’s been working steadily for a long time, it’s only in the last few years that Louis CK has gained more recognition. He had a short lived show on HBO called Lucky Louie and now he does sold out stand up dates all over the country. He’s also the writer/director of the classic film “Pootie Tang.” HIs humor is often filthy and the way that he talks about the perils of parenthood honestly with what almost sounds like resentment is refreshing and hilarious.
