Living, as I do, in a post box somewhere in London, the chances of escaping for a day-trip to the Emerald Isle are few and far between. And yet, somehow I still manage to pop across, try a bit of grub and dash back in time for my favourite cartoon on the tube.

Rich roasts, marvelous mash, carvery to kill for, cracking crumble and all at a price that’s pretty darn reasonable
Posh, modern French cuisine in the heart of Dublin. Sill it can get a little froggy in here — reminding one that Silas is never too far away.
This restaurant is a trick, actually.
L’Gueuleton and Gruel both have to be queued for, so if you can’t get in then don’t buy some dodgy Dutch beer but real Guinness.
