Summer may be short on days in Seattle, but it is long on sunshine, with 18 hours of daylight and 10 pm sunsets. Try dining al fresco at any of the places on this list. Make sure to visit the troll under the bridge in Fremont. A great outdoor spot is the park around Bastyr University. Seattle Center has outdoor tables. Or grab a blanket and head for the Arboretum to dine among the trees, then visit the Japanese Garden. How about some golf? There's terrace dining at Interbay Golf Course

The zoo has recreated natural looking habitats for the lions, gorillas, and elephants. Don’t miss the rose garden outside the south entrance — best time of year is June.

Would it be odd to have a picnic next to the troll that is under the bridge? Oddly Romantic.
